Bry: (in awe) Wow...I just can't believe it. That is so cool, Ed.
Prairie: Yes, very nice figures.
Bry: I'm almost speechless. What do you think, guys? (looks over and sees Big Bird, Telly and Rosita all giving him "the look") Oh, come on, guys. We're not going to get...
Well...if you are Equity, you don't do that stuff. It goes against union rules. And "real names" are usually Equity or part of one of the major unions.
Yeah and I don't compare it to those because Swamp Year is in it's own class really. Atleast to me. It does not need to be just like The Muppet Movie or Muppet Caper and all those. This one was geared toward possibly a younger audience and is of a different style. The movie has a sweet story...
It's just part of the contract. It may or may not be negotiable. It's just like at some regional theaters, the actors are asked to help with strike assignments. If you're getting paid, it shouldn't be all that painful to help a little more.
Telly: (runs into Big Bird's nest area) Big Bird! Big Bird!
Big Bird: Hey, Telly! What is it?
Telly: Ed got a package!
Big Bird: Oh, really? That's nice. I love getting care packages from my Granny Bird. She always sends me double-crunch sesame seed cookies on my birthday. Gee...
Ernie: Hey, Ed got a package!
Bert: Oh yeah?
Ernie: He sounded really excited about it.
Bert: Oh boy, I wonder what it is!
Ernie: Let's go find out!
(Bert & Ernie race off to Ed's room)
Bry: Hmm... I wouldn't mind seeing for myself either. Hey, guys! Wait for me!
Gotcha, Marky. Just didn't understand what you meant.
You mean that unlike the other major Muppet film projects, the word "Muppet" is in the title:
The Muppet Movie
The Great Muppet Caper
The Muppets Take Manhattan
A Muppet Christmas Carol
Muppet Treasure Island
Muppets From Space
Yeah, all those type of characters have assistants that hang out with them and make sure they are okay. I believe they are also in charge of time making sure that the character goes on break when they are supposed to, etc. This is how it is in the Disney parks as well.
I just started reading the book this weekend and I absolutely LOVE it!! I hate having to put it down. I have only gotten through the first chapter, but it has captured me. This is such an inspirational read and his stories and messages are beautiful. It is structured in a way that is similar...
If you are trying to make another jab at the Disney Company, then I am afraid you missed. So what if Disney has their performers do other "chores" on the ship when not onstage? That is not surprising as it is the case with many cruise lines. During the day, the performers are often given jobs...
Grover: Great Birdkateers meeting today, Big Bird.
Big Bird: Hey, you guys were great tap dancing ducks.
Maurice: It was fun!
Grover: We really should get back to Kyle though. Thanks, Bryan Baby, for having us.
Maurice: Yeah, thanks.
Bry: It was a pleasure. Tell Kyle "hi" for me...
Yeah, great moment!
Big Bird: Gordon, I'm not supposed to do this! You should never jump from a moving truck! Why, I shouldn't even be standing up!
Gordon: You have my permission! Just this once. Now, Come on!
The other great moment that someone else here mentioned was the end of...
Bry: Kyle is back, but he said you guys can stay another night if you want to.
Maurice: Are you sure?
Grover: We would not want to be any trouble.
Bry: No, Grover. No trouble at all. We really like having you here. You know why?
Grover: Because we are so cute and lovable?
Bry...
As am I, Kevin. So much talent! Not only talent, but there is always such enormous love and dedication that goes into these things (artwork, fan-fics, etc) and it always shows!
