Recently, the Sesame Street page at Muppet Wiki had it's "notable episodes" section taken down, after somebody had posted about it in the forum and it was decided it was a bit redundant to have that there on the wiki at this point (when there's the milestones page and such). Somebody mentioned...
It seems like the works of Chuck Jones were often a bit intellectual/high brow/artsy, the kind of stuff I'd expect the academy to prefer. And yet only two of his Warner Bros, shorts (and one of his MGM shorts) won Oscars.
Friz Freleng is the one who earned Warner Bros. more Oscars for best...
I came in when they were already showing the questions (they didn't play them on a loop; I was surprised that when they were done, they just showed advertisements for sponsored things and other Fathom events). The only other one I remember is "what role did Mel Brooks play?"
It is interesting that in the rare instances of fans copying and uploading what Muppet Wiki has posted that they've been cooperative when fans let them know that Muppet Wiki doesn't want them re-uploaded by them. I guess it's a case where they're informed that they won't get more of these rare...
Now the wiki has pictures for episode 1505. One thing that's interesting is that it's a season 12 episode to include the original Rubber Duckie. I know the original would later be in a season 16 episode, but it's still amazing to hear about that one airing post-season 1.
Looking at a previous...
No. But as she is a newer character, there's a lot about the shows past she doesn't know. Other characters can inform her of the shows history. And it'd be more appropriate for her to learn of the Sesame Street before she was born (or whatever) than it was for Elmo in The Street We Live On.
In the last three years, there has been a Julia-focused episode that's aired on PBS around the same time as the original HBO premier, unlike the other new episodes. I wonder if she'll be the focus of the special.
For some reason, I had never noticed this part before until I saw it in the theater yesterday.
They had some trivia questions before the film started, one was "how many characters did Jim Henson voice in The Muppet Movie". I actually felt stuck counting in my head how many of them spoke, I...
I wonder if the announced outtakes will actually show the performers or not. I know that normally the performers stay in character rather than put the characters down and show themselves (which is how I used to think they'd act when messing up). Hopefully, all outtakes included will be for...
It's been announced that tomorrow's video will be a Bert and Ernie friendship mash-up. I guess that's the current trend with the site, putting out mashups/collections on Fridays (and announcing in advance) as opposed to a throwback Thursday.
I wonder if it'll be a compilation of various Bert...
I saw it today. It was a great experience. There weren't many other people there, I think most were grown ups, but I did hear a lot of laughter.
I was expecting the Universal logo, but I was surprised that it was the modern logo as opposed to the old logo from around 1979 (though I don't...
As other says, this sounds a lot more like fan fiction (as I was reading the page, I started wondering if the page was created by one of those members who tends to treat Muppet Wiki like a fan fiction wiki, but I saw that it was started by either Scott or Shane so it's real).
The idea of Big...
People have been saying that for nearly a decade, yet they keep releasing things on DVD and Blu-ray, and a few years back came out with a new physical disc format, Ultra 4K HD.
Considering there's separate trailers for both discs as well as the whole set, it makes me wonder if the two discs will be available separately in addition to as a set (most likely the case digitally).
A lot of stuff I'm not really surprised by. I figured Elmo's Ducks would probably be there...
Although I was aware that The Cookie Thief had been broadcast during the shows regular hours on PBS, I hadn't realized that the special was also considered a regular episode of the show. And it is weird that they shortened a long story into under a half hour (it was cut into the usual ten...
A page from the script for the 50th anniversary special that has been pictured online showed Lefty among a call list of characters to be in the new special, so I knew we'd be seeing him again soon (that script page is partially blocked by another page so some names are cut off, so I don't know...
Reminds me of when I learned this years "classic character plush" at Sesame Place would be Ovejita. I thought, "really? She's only been on the show for almost ten years", though now I realize that that might be the first Ovejita toy ever (I'm not really sure). But for the classic character line...
I noticed the brief snippet that appeared in last week's Grover mishaps mashup video looked horrible as well. I decided to watch that part of the movie parodies video and thought it looked slightly better than I remembered in that other video, only to re-check and saw that it does look the same...
I deal with a lot of things (patience, getting new info, finally getting answers to things I've long wondered about, thinking about how I should have done things, observations that I question, etc.) by over analyzing.
Sesame Workshop did upload What's My Part?: Foot on sesamestreet.org...
Muppet Wiki has a sandbox page for uncredited performers, most of them being ones who were uncredited on Sesame Street. Which makes me wonder: If by chance a performer only did one street scene, especially one that didn't air on a Friday show with credits, would being uncredited me much of a big...
