Sometimes I wonder, when a character is suddenly given a name, if the scripts say what existing character it is. Like when Grover was finally given a name, did the script just call him Grover or did it indicate a specific monster puppet? In fact Grover did a number of skits with Kermit where he...
I've seen "Muppet Tag" under a listing of first season near and far sketches in the first season show content, and assume that's referring to the first season Grover sketch. Have you seen "Anything Muppet Near and Far Tag" listed as a first season sketch?
Episode 125 begins with Susan saying she saw Grover and asks the kids if they know who he is, then says they've probably seen him even if they don't know his name. I guess that's a lesson on not having to know somebody's name to know.
When it comes to video materials Scott had just recently acquired for the sake of making screenshots, I thought today of what would have made the perfect first screenshots from these to post, though I don't know if he has the footage (and it's obviously too late to make it the first): the street...
This morning I got a notification that a post I made was deleted, along with the listed reason: "Please stop your posting behavior, contact the member in question via PM and if they choose not to answer then respect their decision to do so."
However, there's a number of things about this that...
That was neat to see.
When I first saw the "G for Grover" segment pictured in Muppet Wiki guides but not the one called "Hey Frog" (more on that below), I wondered if Scott just got footage for that one (he noted on his user page that he's found "G for Grover" listed in additional scripts but...
Considering it seems like they've got scripts for all or close enough to all episodes (or at least close enough to all scripts of remaining episodes the wiki has yet to fill out), I'd be surprised if the hook-up came from an actual writer. I don't think any of the writers would just happen to...
I had some dreams regarding the Tales from Muppetland specials.
I dreamt that I had a record with songs and audio from all three, including Hey Cinderella, playing at different points.
And I had to edit a broadcast of Hey Cinderella, I was re-organizing parts of the ballroom sequence while...
I know that many of the Pinball Number Count segments are on their channel (including a special video with all of them, in addition to most of them being online as separate videos). And I believe some of the Typewriter and Teeny Little Super Guy segments are there. As is either Jazz #4 or Jazz...
Okay, I'd like examples.
Of course yesterday's clip was the adults meeting Snuffy, that's an important enough clip to showcase. Hmm, I wonder if they would do the Rewind format on street stories or complete episodes.
I kind of wish they'd call it "The Year of Grover" or "The Year of the Monsters" and focus on other monsters as well as Grover.
Thinking about what would be good for the event. It would be cool to have a comprehensive book about Grover, or maybe Grover can be the next Sesame Street Muppet to...
The thing about Universal is something I've wondered about for years, as I had grown up seeing the Universal logo on TV broadcasts of The Great Muppet Caper, and for a long time I had seen The Muppet Movie without a company logo (I had a television taping that started right at the beginning...
At first I wondered if Sesame Workshop would be spoiling us with 50th anniversary content, as they had been doing a lot of that several weeks in a row (with special YouTube compilations, mash-ups, and several video images in one), then they went back to the usual Throwback Thursday of a classic...
Lately the wiki has added guides for a number of character debuts who I never really thought about having proper introduction episodes, like Dexter (actually, I mistakenly thought the episode where he talks about juggling to Gordon was his debut for some reason), Leo the Party Monster, and Ruby...
I thought the same thing as I did the first post (I was surprised this hadn't already been reported here, at Tough Pigs, or The Muppet Mindset). But if I was doing it as an April Fools Joke, I would have done it on the actual day AND I would have ended the first post with a big "April fools".
I've found that Sesame Workshop plans a year-long celebration of Grover to be called "The Year of the Monster".
I heard about it yesterday when Muppet Wiki added a page for an upcoming special called The Monster at the End of This Story, and searched the sourced links, including this one...
The sandbox page now confirms a few episodes where Elmo is performed by Brian Meehl via audio/video footage (though, as has been noted on a talk page, we likely won't be able to see it online anytime soon), including the last episode of season 15.
I'd say that Richard Hunt's first performance...
"D Duah Duah" is the officially registered title, even if "Be My D" is the more common lyric. Muppet Wiki uses official, registered titles (there's some song database out there that they use to find a lot of song titles) whenever possible.
