    Kermit V3.0

For some reason, I am DYING to make an acceptable replica of Kermit. I have made them in the past but there was always something off about them. After learning from my own builds and searching the web for ideas, I think I have stumbled on the perfect technique. I began the build today. I am...

really, you can chroma key any color. some work better than others, but that is how they can get around color conflicts.

    Puppet lining

the easiest way is this: make a tube out of cloth that is longer than your body foam. put it inside of the body and fold the edges around the outside of the body on each end. next, you can either glue those edges down or if you are in a hurry, put a band of duct tape around it lol.

    Puppet Help...

Make a tube and where the mouth is just cut an upside down U. Make a mouthboard of the same size and attach it. The roof of the mouth should be vertical for this one. The mouth will not naturally stay open which will make it rough on your thumbs, but it will look good.

haha, good luck. Don't be discouraged. You should have seen my first attempts. Biggest advice--use as little hot glue as possible. Sew everything on as much as possible. Some people say to hot glue the mouthplate in....don't do it. Sewing that mouth seam turns out so pretty lol.

Thank you! They are your basic foam and fleece puppets. It is basically a "skeleton" made of sheet-foam, then covered with fleece. I use felt for the mouths. This forum is a great place to start--it helped me learn. It just takes time, trial, and error. I still am not as good as I would like to...
