Seems to me the best way to get info on this is to see if Muppet Central's favorite Fraggle, Karen Prell, can tell us anything. Perhaps she'll stop by the forum or Frogboy can ask her at their next puppet guild meeting....
My Piggy will stand on her own, but only with very careful positioning. (That's what she gets for wearing heels all the time.) She isn't all that stable, though. If you want to change her leg positioning from the way it is in the stand, try putting just one foot on the peg. That will likely...
Exclusive Piggy has arrived at the Kitsap Mall in Silverdale, Washington. The very nice manager called me as soon as she came in.
BTW-- I spoke to someone at TRU a few days ago-- still no Muppets-- but they were polite and knew what I was talking about. Since I've whined about how useless...
As far as what channel Noggin is, that will vary depending on the cable provider. You have to do a little leg work. Look in your local TV Guide. Or go to noggin.com/getnoggin and enter your zip code, they'll tell you whether it is available where you live and what channel it is on.
There...
Exactly, Ken! Something about the green of Bunsen is very changeable-- it picks up on the lighting. But Bunsen is pale green and the figure is definitely the proper color.
I'd be interested to see if this eBay seller can produce the so-called yellow Bunsen s/he claims was in the case.
Sesame Street is set in New York.
Big Bird is played by Carroll Spinney (though there is a new guy who now does Big Bird some of the time, but his name escapes me at the moment). Yes, Carroll Spinney is inside the Big Bird Costume.
You can tape some past episodes off the cable channel...
Frogboy
This may be a silly question but-- have you tried pushing it in? You might be able to get it in if you push and swivel it a little. Just a thought.
My Kermit mug has no chip, either.
You can check out my review of Series 1 (including the Dr. Teeth repaint exclusive; Piggy exclusive will be added in the coing week) here at Muppet Central. Follow the link on the home page.
Lots of positive thoughts going your way! :)
Hang in there, this may well be harder on you, as a mom, than it is on your daughter.
Let us know how you and your family are doing and if there is anything we can do to help. Hopefully your DD will recover quickly and you can get on with...
Ken posted that the hand off is just from getting banged around in shipping and the hand can be popped right back into place. My piggy had one glove that was a little loose and after reading Ken's post, I pushed it back on snuggly-- very simple to do and it isn't going to come loose again...
There is a ton of Sesame stuff out there and the licensing agreement is completely different-- being Sesame Workshop, not Henson-- but I would absolutely buy a Super Grover figure.
Actually, I'd buy the whole line as most of the Sesame stuff is geared to kids and not adult fans/collectors...
Warrick
I prefer the Fozzie on roller skates idea to Fozzie dressed as First Mate Piggy. I think the First Mate Fozzie idea would work better as a two pack variant-- coming with Emily Bear. But in general, I think the roller skating Fozzie would have wider appeal (for the less avid Muppet...
Dr. Teeth's hat
Are you sure you have it pressed down just right? I had trouble with my Dr. Teeth's hat at first but once I got it on right-- with the little notches pressed into the 'dents' in his hair, it has been real secure.
Fozzie
I would prefer something that gets away from...
Sam Variant
Thinking about accessories for the Revulotionary War, Minute Man Same variant....
What about a small boat? Like in that famous painting of Washington crossing the Deleware where George is standing in the small boat while being rowed across the river?
Or a Jefferson writing...
Blockbuster released four really simple, cheap plushes. Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo, and Fozzie. Each toy is made of two pieces of cloth-- a front and a back sewn together. The image is printed on the fabric. Piggy's dress is a separate piece that goes over the printed plush. They're small, I'd...
Ken--
It isn't exactly revolutionary war, but have you seen Sam in Muppet Christmas Carol? He plays an instructor who taught young Scrooge. I think the costume might be close to what you have in mind. That would definitely be a good variant.
I'm not absolutely certain, but as I recall the first wave of busts is set to ship in Oct/Nov.
Piggy isn't in the first wave (it is Kermit, Rowlf, Bunsen, and Beeker) or the second (Sam, Gonzo, Statler and Waldorf). Hopefully she'll be in series 3 (my guess is either Piggy or Fozzie will...
