Oh-- I didn't mean there would be different levels of membership, you're right, that would be way too confusing and complex.
I was indicating what I thought would be a reasonable club at each price level. Meaning, if membership costs $35 the club needs to provide more stuff, but if...
Thanks! My ideas were really off the top of my head-- I've never owned an action figure before the Muppet line, so I really know nothing about how these sorts of clubs work.
I agree with others who said the number of each figure a member can buy should be limited. I'd like to be able to...
I think $35 would be a bit steep. I mean, paying $35 for the right to pay more money later to buy figures... just doesn't sit well for me. I'd pay it (I want the exclusives) but I would not be happy about it and I suspect there would be a lot of grumbling and people not joining because it was...
Merchandise
What do we want to buy at MuppetFest II?
I want:
More plush (more of the small Nanco plushes would be great-- Gonzo, Animal, Rizzo....) -- something inexpensive and child-safe so my two year old can have a new Muppet while we are there!
Sweatshirts-- the t-shirts are great...
We won't go into what I paid for mine (it sure wasn't $2.95), but I got it from the JHC archives along with some cool promotional stuff and a sticker that reads:
Ken--
VC Beeker looks great! My husband was all but drooling over my keyboard when he saw it. I think $15 is quite reasonable for the exclusives. Heck, I'd pay that for every figure-- though I'm really glad I don't have to!
Rizzo
I posted my opinion in the poll thread-- but I want a...
I know this isn't a popular opinion (though the poll is all tied up right now so a few people, besides MM-III must agree with me) but I would hate to see Palisades produce a tiny Rizzo simply because they are so good with the detail and accuracy on these figures. I want to see what they do with...
Ahh! Yes-- a very real problem. I hope Fox promotes the show well. I had a thought about this a while ago:
Wouldn't it be great if Fox would hire the Muppets to do ads for their existing shows? Imagine Kermit in the white disco suit (with disco ball on the ceiling, of course) doing an ad...
EB Silverdale, WA-- very good, allowed preorders, called as soon as the items came in, even gave me the Palisades Muppet Show figures shipping box
Toys R Us Silverdale, WA-- huh? we don't carry those any more (apparently they had their own private line of Muppet figures previously)
EB...
I think it is way too early to worry.
Of course it isn't in the fall line up-- it has been stated that the earliest they could possibly have the show together would be March 2003. That is too late for a mid-season replacement. And that is the earliest the show could be ready. I think it...
He isn't all that obscure, but I really want to see Uncle Deadly. He's such an interesting looking Muppet-- I'd like to see what Palisades could do with him.
Plus, if they make an Uncle Deadly, my husband will stop going on about how much he wants one. ;)
I am by no means a professional and don't have any where near the experience or exerptese of Buck-Beaver, but here are my thoughts--
I used the foam book method on my turtle puppet (you can see pics by clicking on My Quilts, below, and then selection the puppet link) and I found it easier...
Someone said not to move Robot Rabbit's limbs-- mine works great. The limbs move easily and stay where I position them. Same for his head lever.
Just wanted people to know thay can play with this fig!
Well, you might be the first to break the exclusive Piggy, but someone broke Dr. Teeth's nose off and someone else had Bunsen's glasses broken. I think there was also a limb problem, but I don't remember which figure or if it was an arm or a leg.
I'm not an action figure person either, but...
Favorite Figure?
Now that the figures are hitting the stores, which one is your favorite?
Currently, I'm going with Bunsen, but Kermit is a very close second for me.
