Disney makes Fruit snacks of EVERY single one of their movies (though I doubt we'll see any of Brave or Wreck it Ralph), and some of the Marvel based movies (Captain America and the new Spider-Man flick at least). Seems about time for them to get that treatment.
Scene from this week's American Dad... before it airs, too...
I assume they're supposed to be the Muppet Babies considering Kermit and Animal's outfits.
One of my favorite gags in The Simpsons was when Moe is at a video store, and he goes behind the beaded "adults only" curtain, and it's actually filled with artistic films. And Moe adds, "Brideshead is going to be Revisted again tonight." (or something like that).
It's true. A LOT of "adult"...
I forget... didn't that sink the ship, or am I thinking of something else. Maybe he knew the ship would sink from the weight of the treasure.
Besides, if that's all that Long John cared about, I'd tend to think Kermit would let him have it at the risk of seeing any of his men in danger.
That is a VERY black and white definition. Not to mention, often times, such bad tools are clearly labeled.
You don't give a 2 year old that's still a slave to his oral fixations (in other words, puts stuff in his mouth) a toy that clearly says "WARNING: Toy contains Small Parts! Not...
Agreed. How come we keep hearing "Kids shouldn't watch 2 Broke Girls! Let's censor television" but we never hear "we're putting to much pressure on kids and slowly taking away their ability to be kids, causing them to act out?"
Kids that have to deal with issues at home will always blow off...
Yeah. When anything has to be merchandised, it has to be a movie or tie into one.
Yet, TRU has so much trouble keeping the Adventure Time (cartoon series) merchandise in stock. Took me I dunno how many months to finally get a Jake. That's a huge message out there that non-movies can hit...
You will usually see more merchandise for a sequel. It just happens that way. Madagascar came and went with just a couple plush here and there... Madagascar 2 (and the Penguins Spinoff) had much more... Happy Meal toys, general retail plush, figure sets... stuff like that. That's the only...
The movie wouldn't have had any impact if it didn't. This needed to be a "get the gang back together" movie to relaunch a film franchise killed by dumb gimmicks of forced sci-fi (because Star Wars episode 1! That's why) and boring story retellings. And quite honestly, the world forgetting...
But they aren't as vocal, and they aren't trying to mercilessly cancel those shows the way they do with something scripted... especially if it's kid's programming. I feel they're way too lenient on things like Jerry Springer, Maury Povich (which I'll say for the zilliontrillionth time, why in...
Yeah, I could get into a whole thing about Filmation. I have respect for them. The factory floor where they had to make a million different cartoons at once was just a sign of the times in animation. There were some real WHAT?!?! shows and movies they did... but over all they had some choice...
I see small stuff popping up here and there. Not much of which is remotely interesting. I can't find "Green and Bear it" anywhere. And any time I see some Muppet Things on the rack, there's usually one left.
I don't know if it was such a good idea to have everything come out almost 6 months...
There are cases where no matter how well they raise their kid, circumstances beyond the parents control screw them up... but blaming the media is something every stupid generation did to try to explain that kids who are screwed up are everyone's fault but theirs. Remember the dogooder that...
Half the kids that watch that stuff weren't exactly wholesome to begin with. It's like how they say that watching wrestling creates violent people when only people who like violence would be the ones who would watch wrestling. Any kid that doesn't know reality from fiction either has parents...
I didn't read it quite yet. I got so many comics, most of them unsellable back issues, and I've basically only read the DC kids sampler... not even the Donald Duck or Moomins. But I thumbed through the Labyrinth part, and I agree. The artwork is the same lovely stuff that made the Fraggle...
Frank Oz performed him in that skit.
It's too much an internet fanbase/continuity addict thing to take some small factoid and debate its existence in canon. A character's real name, unless purposely called back to for specific reasons, is nothing more than a tiny factoid.
Still, I kinda...
The first two movies that were his doing had a style to them, and we probably wouldn't have had everyone's favorite Batman adaption, Batman TAS, if it wasn't for those films.
But the second two that weren't under his control were putrid. Forever was alright, though I hate how Two-Face was...
For some crap-brain reason, we have a generation of parents that wanna be their kids bestest best friend, let them have everything they want to avoid conflict, and then complain that it's everyone's fault that they're kids are screwed up. So basically they go after anyone and anything and we...
