    Museum of Television and Radio

Sorry, Tim, that's at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences... the people who give out the Emmys... and is in North Hollywood. Bear is going to the Museum of Television and Radio in Beverly Hills. :p
  2. Was Once Ernie

    Museum of Television and Radio

From what they tell us out here, the two collections, NY and LA, are identical. If they have all those shows in NY, we should have them out here. After you go, let us know what you find, Bear. I've gone to a lot of events put on by the Museum, but I haven't been to the screening library in...

    Museum of Television and Radio

Hi Bear, They don't really have any memorabilia. There is a nice store and there is usually one major exhibit in the lobby. I have no idea what it is right now. The best I would suggest is go to the screening room and look up Jim Henson or Muppets in the computer. I'm sure they have...

Authentic, Fully Licensed, Muppet Replicas Coming!

Kevin Eslinger of Master Replicas is going to be at the Comic-Con International next week. If I can't get some answers out of him, then we have no chance of getting any answers! :p P.S. Plus, they also have a booth there. That's where I saw the very first Kermit prototype last year.

    Help save my Marriage !

One trick I learned from Mike, the Propologist... He has a pair of scissors with normal size grip, but very tiny cutting blades. Working from the back of the material, these scissors will cut the backing, but not the fur, leaving you with a nicer edge and less loose fuzzies. :p

New Ernie , Bert And Elmo Replicas

Jarrod, I am completely blown away. The Bert and Ernie replicas are the first ones I've ever seen that could pass for the real thing. And now I'm gonna have to call Nancy so I can see the Bart puppet! Keep up the great work. :p

Authentic, Fully Licensed, Muppet Replicas Coming!

I knew there was a reason we get along so well... my birthday is August 22nd! :p

Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

I'm afraid your first two questions could only really be answered by people that are no longer with us. If I had to make an educated guess, though, I would say Kermit's lack of pointy collar was an artistic decision, since all that would have been visible inside his shirt was a different color...

Calvin & Hobbes Plush dolls BY ME!

I met him a few years ago at the San Diego Comic-Con, but I don't know him. :p
  10. Was Once Ernie

Cartoon shows that didn't make it

Ah, you just shook it out of my memory banks... It was "Hawkear, Frontier Scout" and he was a kind of Radar from M*A*S*H character that had incredible hearing... supposedly, but then that was the joke. He would think he heard something coming, then get run over by something from the other...

    Animaniacs!

    Here's some new news. :p
  12. Was Once Ernie

    Brandy and Mr.Whiskers

I wrote the episode called "One of a Kind". :p
  13. Was Once Ernie

Cartoon shows that didn't make it

I've got a couple... Jay Ward also did three other pilots that never got anywhere. I don't remember exactly what they were called but one of them was a frontier scout that had Daws Butler doing a Gary Cooper impression. The character also resembled Cooper. The second cartoon was about a...

    Earl Kress Weblog

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. Writing the blog has taken up some of my free time, so I haven't been around here as much. I just saw the Daws thread tonight, but didn't write anything in it. I posted a piece about Daws and Stan recently. You can search my archives to see it. :p

    Brandy and Mr.Whiskers

Being in a horn tooting mood, I'll toot mine... I wrote an episode of Brandy and Mr. Whiskers. There, consider my horn tooted.

The Snuffleupagus breaks in half like a costume store horse suit. :p

My Version of Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

You know, I have a sneaking suspicion that some people didn't hold their puppets up for every take. The girl who had Oscar was right behind me and I can't see Oscar in any of the pictures. Maybe "Jim Frawley" didn't make the take that was actually used. :p

    Kermit & Piggy appearance

The Hollywood Bowl does have projection screens. They've had them going all the way back to Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl in 1982 and possibly before. :p
  19. Was Once Ernie

    Kermit Puppet

Oh, yeah, that's the problem. His mouth is definitely supposed to be curved, not straight. But even more important, he's missing the Henson "C" in the corners. :p

Behind the Scenes of "The Muppet Movie"

I would love to write for the Muppets. I believe I have the experience and knowledge of the characters to write something that the fans would love. But, interestingly, your question jogged my memory of something else. Many years ago, myself and a group of young animators from Disney pitched...
