I don't know how accurate this listing is. They stole that picture from my website. (Of course, I took it from someone else, but I altered it... that's how I know it's from mine.)
:p
Piggy is still flocked foam. But because she's flocked, she may be easier to manufacture since the underlying material isn't as important and is covered over.
:p
I don't know if that's when it happened, but they've definitely changed. They used to be foam and are now fleece covered. I got this from someone with inside information. So, MR's Animal, while styled after the 70's version, will be constructed like the current model.
:p
Well, that would be a little difficult, since my source at Comic-Con was Kevin Eslinger, who used to come here and post on the forums, and he's no longer with the company. However, I still have a source that's pretty inside and he confirmed that they still want to do Piggy, but even he doesn't...
That's kind of funny. In the pictures of the posers, Fozzie's knees are bent, making him look shorter than Animal. But in the style guide, Animal's knees are bent making him look shorter than Fozzie. I think they're basically the same height, maybe a very slight difference.
:p
I believe those are the actual puppets, not posers, so you can't use that picture for height comparison. Also, even if they were the posers, they are placed on different levels for the camera. You'd need a picture where Fozzie and Animal were on the same plane for an accurate comparison.
:p
Fozzie does appear to be about the same height as Animal, but he's still way bigger overall:
Fozzie Poser
Note that Kermit would not be standing on the floor in that picture, so don't use it to compare to the height of Kermit, but I did a side by side with the picture Travis put up of the...
As sure as anything can be this far out. As I said in the article, they can always change their minds, but right now, they are definitely working on Fozzie and saying that Piggy is on the list. Unfortunately, I don't know the third one yet. I'm not even sure Terry Angus knows the third one...
I know who one of the other three for 2008 is... I posted it on my blog back in February!
My Name Is Earl Kress
That is not a direct link to the story... you will have to find it on your own!
Don't say I didn't tell you!
:p
It's so funny that you would post this today. I just saw Shari's daughter Mallory this afternoon and she had Lamb Chop with her! She really, really sounds like her mother. I had my picture taken with them... on my friend's camera. As soon as he e-mails them to me, I'll post them!
:p
No, nobody was given a script. They just played it over and over and over until we learned it. The hardest part was that you just had to feel the pauses between "Thanks to the lovers... the dreamers... and you." Jim was very adamant that we be in synch. He didn't want you to be late coming...
Plus, like Piggy, they are completely made out of foam and not fabric covered. But unlike Piggy, which is basically two pieces, they are many pieces.
The only characters that are definite so far beyond Kermit are Gonzo and Animal and they haven't even figured out how to mass produce them...
Don't hold your breath, guys. At this point, they're not even being considered. Way too complicated to build. And even if they would be considered in the future, it wouldn't be before 2010!
