When you say you noticed Ernie's hand beside Bert, what did you mean? Ernie's right arm was stuffed and pinned to his chest, so maybe that is what you are seeing.
I agree that Oscar's performer wasn't holding him up very high, if at all in some takes. A lot of people around me were...
I went to the exhibit both in San Diego and then again in L.A., but as Tim already pointed out, no cameras were allowed inside. I have the book and my memories and that's it.
:p
I did get it on e-Bay, but not from that guy. His bottles are ceramic, made from a mold off an original Jim Beam bottle. The one I have is an original bottle that is painted. Personally, I think that makes it more authentic... even if I don't have a picture of Barbara Eden with it (although I...
Hey Gang,
Since I started this thread, I thought this would be the appropriate place for my next announcement... but I'm going to send you to my weblog to see it, because there I can post pictures, too.
Big News!
:p
Hey Gang,
I finally posted some pictures of my Kermit on my weblog... but that's not all you'll find... there's some interesting news in the article, too!
Pictures of Kermit and More!
:p
That's not even the first Kermit. If you want to see the real first Kermit, here is a link to a story I posted on my weblog:
The First Kermit
Scroll down to the picture of Kermit and Sam that is "signed". The way you can tell the first Kermit from the one in the picture at the top of the...
It was actually spherical and sticks up slightly, but again, unless you're looking at him up close and personal, it blends into the black pupil and you can't see it.
:p
Yeah, I really wanted that Studio Scale Enterprise they had (I know, that's Star Trek, not Star Wars)... but it was $1200... and really big. Even if I had the money I don't where I would have put it. As it is, the Muppets are going to require a lot of space.
:p
In the case of the Cookie Monsters I've seen, they were tiny, tiny screws. I guess that's so they don't pull out so easily. But there was definitely a small slot in the end. You just can't see it on television.
:p
Hi Anthony!
Yes, I would like a copy of the Replica Report that you got. I also finally took some pictures of my Kermit and will try to post them this week.
Aside to Travis:
Last year's deal of $50 off of Kermit is a much better deal for Muppet fans than this year's deal. Under the...
I don't remember the exact address (I'm sure someone else here knows it), but at 205 E. 67th Street was WNEW-TV. If you were facing the TV studio (North), the Muppet Workshop was to the left and the brownstone offices were to the right.
Although, they also worked in the brownstone. That's...
I agree again. And Disney has plenty of copyright police out there. They even go after pre-schools that paint their characters on the sides of buildings, so I'm certain they could catch someone making TV commercials or personal appearances with a Kermit replica.
:p
P.S. I know there...
I agree with you, Marky. If people want to do bad things with Kermit, they can do them now, by either using a toy or making their own. Selling replica puppets wouldn't make the problem any worse. There have been Shari Lewis Lamb Chop puppets that look so good, on camera you wouldn't be able...
They actually shot the "Magic Store" song and the scene that comes before the big finale after we shot the rainbow scene. I know this because I was there two days later. That was how I got to go to dailies and see the "Magic Store" scenes, plus the all-Muppet finale.
So, even though in the...
There were monitors... in the front of the pit. Only the people up there could see them, including Jim and Frank, of course. But from where Jerry Nelson or Richard Hunt were, I don't even know if they could see them.
Jim and Frank kept watching playbacks on the monitor between takes.
