Fozzie,
Absolutely amazing pictures, some laugh-out-loud funny, some amusing and some touching. Also, some clever special effects as well. By far the best in the series. You'll be a hard act to follow, my friend.
Excellent work, as always.
Your pal,
Was Once Ernie

I don't know when he posted this, but this isn't the way the factory sample they had at Comic-Con looked. As we've all seen in the pictures, his nose was covered in some kind of mesh netting that everyone was calling "pantyhose". If it had a "foamy-ness" look to it, that would still be much...
I'm sorry to knock an otherwise talented performer like Steve Whitmire, but I think the Kermit voice on the DVD menus of the Season 2 Muppet Show set is terrible. Looking at my posed Kermit gives me more pleasure than listening to that.
:p
One way to get pictures into your ad (and I don't know if it's the only way, but it's the way I do it) is to write it in HTML. If you have somewhere to host your pictures, you can then include as many as you want in the body of the ad. I usually place pictures throughout the copy so people can...
I just played that episode this morning and I didn't notice it being out of sync... and I usually really notice that kind of thing. There's a Groucho Marx "You Bet Your Life" DVD set where almost every episode is out of sync.
:p
Okay, this is the last post I'm going to do on Animal's eyes. Please take a look at this picture I took from Comic-Con:
MR Animal
I want you to look at it very carefully. Notice how the eyebrow fur is covering part of his left eye? If you fix that and reveal more of the white part of...
I take that back... I can speak to other versions. Look at that avatar directly above my previous post. As tiny as that picture is, you can see black between the whites of Animal's eyes. So, there's another example.
:p
I have to respectfully disagree with you here. I was watching the Season Two DVD's this morning and I freeze framed Animal when he was full-on facing camera with his eyebrows up and there is a definite gap between his eyes. The whites are not touching. As soon as he turns his head a little...
Thanks, Anthony! We have to meet again at Disneyland one day!
And thanks everyone else, too! I plan on eating some of my favorite foods today. I know it doesn't sound too exciting... but I get to stop watching my weight for one day... and that IS exciting!

It's not that they can't make Gonzo's nose out of foam, it's that the type of foam used on Gonzo's nose is very susceptible to becoming brittle and crumbly. As I said earlier in this thread, there are other kinds of foam with a much longer shelf life, but they wouldn't look right, either. For...
I think the reason people are calling it "pantyhose" is because it's a similar material. Pantyhose looks like mesh close-up.
As I said before... I don't care what it's made out of, as long as it LOOKS like foam. After all, they are advertising them as "Authentic Replicas". There's nothing...
Thanks, PMK. You just made me glad I'm as old as I am. I wouldn't want to be a part of a generation that thinks the way you do. Good luck with that when chaos reigns.
:p
You keep saying that, but just who is this philanthropist that's going to spend many hours building you a puppet and then just giving it to you for cost? You're making an argument about something that can never happen. The guy who is the subject of this thread is most certainly making a profit...
So, what you're saying is, if the company is big enough, it's okay to steal from them.
Woo-hoo! I'm off to Best Buy to get me some DVD's! They'll never miss 'em. They have thousands... maybe even hundreds!
:p
Not all foam rots at the same rate. I have a 34 year old puppet that I built that is still in very good condition. His foam is pliable. But then, I had a sofa that was about the same age when I got rid of it and the foam cushions had turned crunchy.
However, I am not advocating for a foam...
Hey Fozzie,
I was standing there with you when Travis told us that this is the way Disney wanted Gonzo, but later when I went back, he said the people from Disney saw it and then didn't like it. So, I don't really know where it stands now other than that.
:p
P.S. If he ends up with...
