"Rilly" sounds like it might be right, but if you listen long enough, you can tell "rully" is more correct. That kind of California accent's a little tricky sometimes. Very similar to how the Beach Boys sound (which makes sense.) "I wish they all could be California gurls!"

It's interesting about the confusion over the "rully" and "rilly" spelling. I didn't even know The Muppets had had comics until recently.

That's a good point. If something is important to you, you should do a good job. I guess what I meant was that it doesn't have to be completely polished and "professional" to still be good. Like someone said before, a school choir isn't always on "professional" level, but their effort is still...

I wouldn't consider Columbus Day (again, for Italian Americans) pointless. St. Patrick's Day (a day for Irish Americans) is taken very seriously. :) Personally, I think holidays are only as pointless as we make them. :)

::shrugs:: I've seen the Greek origin of "Xmass" a couple of places, so it could be true. The thing is, Xmas is sometimes used today in this culture as a secular way of avoiding the religious meaning. That's the problem people have with it. Very often, the original meaning of words is irrelevant...

Thanks, I'm ashamed to say I didn't know that. You're right. It is a correct term to use. A lot of people think it's a secular substitute (and some may use it as such). And no one gets corrected. Heh, sort of like how the TV news kept calling 2000 the Millenium, they catered to ignorance...

Yeah, I used to occasionally write "X-mas" when I was lazy, until I realized what it meant. Heh.
