Eric's characters on Sesame Street haven't exactly shrunk in on screen appearances lately. Steve's Ernie seems to pop up at least a couple times a season... Rudman's been there as well, but some of his characters haven't appeared all that much lately. I feel that has something to do with...
That's kinda what I've been saying. They have all these rare characters that never had much of an onscreen presence, and we're sweating the ones that were the focus of the last few projects.
Still, it stinks that Gonzo was mostly in the deleted scenes. Too bad an Avengers length Muppet Movie...
Recasting is hearsay and nothing more. This script isn't even in the written stage, let alone the completely finished, completely funded and ready to shoot. A lot (or in Henson's usual case, nothing) can happen from that point. Unless this were to be filmed when Muppets 2 were filmed, I doubt...
The two best Kermits I've ever seen were the original Fisher Price one and the Macy's Kermit the Frogtographer. Is there some sort of reluctance to use cardboard stiffeners in the mouth or plastic eyes?
Still, I think the last Animal was one of the best ones we've got since it's pretty much...
I'm very conflicted about that concept. On the one hand, it puts Gonzo in a position where he was barely there near the end of the movie, but on the other hand it gave us a big pay off for a gag that should have been a running gag if the film editors weren't so clumsy.
Still, to say he's...
Oh, absolutely. Dumb guy jokes can only be funny after so long. Even Bebop and Rocksteady got insufferable after a while (why couldn't they keep them like they were in the first 5 episodes?)
Andy and Randy are part of the reason why MT had problems. ALL the new pigs on that series were flat...
Yeah. I really hope they manage to make this a Fraggle Movie and not a generic movie that happens to have Fraggles in it. I really wish Henson would call back as many FR writers as possible to help shape the script and guide the writers on this.
I'm a little hesitant though. This isn't the...
Joe was supposed to come out the end of next month. It's not so much Avengers they're worried about as much as it is Spider-Man. The report also said that things tested negatively and they had to go back and rewrite and reshoot some stuff.
But over all, this is a very competitive summer, and...
I'm seeing a greater and greater Electric Mayhem merchandising presence. While I think it might be a while down the road, we are getting Dr. Teeth as part of 2 of Funko's bobblehead lines (the regular and stylized versions). That may just be a big revelation. But I don't think we're going to...
More fallout from the G.I. Joe movie's abrupt change...The toy line is being pulled from stores before it even hits the shelves.
And the scalpers rejoiced.
The truth has been leaked. They are indeed running scared due to John Carter and Battleship not doing so well, and Paramount wanted to...
On the one hand it was a Gonzo focused movie, but on the other hand Kermit and Piggy were present but not there. I like the concept of Piggy working at a news station, but other than that, she seemed completely out of the film EVEN though she was in that break out sequence. All she did there...
Thanks for the comparison. As you can see, the eyes are much smaller, the lids are heavier, even the mouth shape is still and off. The nose is too perfect, and Muppet Babies proportioned... it's not that expressive, and it hurts the performance.
General Mills has been tweaking the formulas of all its cereals to get rid of certain ingredients. While I think it's a noble cause, the flavors of the cereals suffer. I especially hated the Whole Grain phase where every cereal tasted like bark. Now that they've replaced corn sweeteners with...
I swear they're going to make more episodes like that. I can feel it in my bones.
The Kate episodes have a cute concept, but half the time it's just screwed up. However, I really think the episode about the sock market crash being due to one rich guy hoarding all the currency was something...
That's what I've been saying. Usually, when a TV show based movie comes out, you'll see DVD releases of those shows to drum up interest/tie in with merchandising. Target has an exclusive Men In Black: The Series Season One set (that's doing pretty well). But why was there no "Best Of" Dark...
It really seems like half the time they're trying to force spinoffs that aren't strong enough to carry a full series, and just dumping them there. Not that those would be spinoffs... but it just has that feeling like its supposed to be another show.
I'm starting to really agree. They are...
I take it that Gonzo, being a business professional, was strongly trying to hold in his innermost feelings until the time was right. It's one of those things that sort of worked, but didn't get the time to gestate.
But at least he wasn't sullen like he was in MFS and LTS.
Other than that...
There are only 2 good ones. I liked the one about Kate growing up and out of touch with Pal... and I do kinda like the concept of D.W. growing apart with Nadine. Just... it's not that great a concept when they do it all that much.
But I really disliked the second cartoon about the old lady...
