    When you need to rant...

I say this all the time. Bay is only different from Uwe Bowl in box office numbers and Hollywood pull. They both have an Inspector Gadget/Hong Kong Phooey level of oblivious egotism. I'd like to see Bay do a movie with Mathew McCouneghey. That would be so awful, it would be weaponized...

FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, HASBRO! KNOCK IT OFF!

That's the problem with taking credit for a TV show. If you have a low quality bunch of writers, you always take the blame for it. If Seth and only Seth wrote it, it's clearly going to be more of his humor than a generic version of everyone in the staff's humor. American Dad rarely uses...

FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, HASBRO! KNOCK IT OFF!

I doubt Sandler himself had to pitch this to Sony. It's just a production company. And yes, anything he basically did after the 90's pretty much sucked, though Mah Boi looks decent. Still, Sony Animation. That just adds another layer of terrible. I don't want to go on another debate about...

FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, HASBRO! KNOCK IT OFF!

Twister has too many adult film applications to it. I can't not make a joke about that's inappropriate for the site. :D But like I said before, G.I. Joe and Transformers (as much as Bay screwed it up)... those properties have built in storylines. Heck, they needed storylines to sell those...

Okay... I'm TOTALLY excited for Wreck it Ralph now...

I'm surprised they just have a flash game anyone can play for free. They could basically sell that as an iPhone App or something. It's a pretty fun game that does justice to the old school arcade games it's emulating. Plus, I think I spotted some Mega Man sound effects in there.

FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, HASBRO! KNOCK IT OFF!

There is nothing this film could aspire to be than a low quality Cars ripoff. Maybe a low quality Cars ripoff mixed with Bob the Builder. If this was a children's TV series, I wouldn't say anything... but their boardgame movie didn't do all that well, and is basically a laughing stock. Plus...

FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, HASBRO! KNOCK IT OFF!

Another freaking movie based off a freaking toy. SERIOUSLY?!?! COME ON! Meanwhile, Mattel can't give us the &^%$ He-Man movie.

Funko POP! Muppet figures coming in 2012

Exactly. Production and shipping problems usually arise, and there are cases of things missing their ship or stock date. I'd tend to think these things were delayed for some reason (they have many different licenses and lines to get out... they just released a Yellow Submarine Pop set).

WB trying for Justice League movie again

Batman keeps tabs of the rest of the Justice League, and knows all their weaknesses if any of them get out of line (i.e. being brainwashed by some evil force, terrestrial or extra-terrestrial). He has kryptonite with him just in case Superman ever goes wrong. That's the only reason the two...

Okay... I'm TOTALLY excited for Wreck it Ralph now...

GAH! I had to watch it online because they didn't play it before the movie at the theater I was in. And It would have been in 3-D too. But this is a pretty visionary movie with some great inside game jokes. I like the whole bit about an 8-bit character struggling in a PS3 world...

Funko POP! Muppet figures coming in 2012

That usually happens. How many delays did we see with the Palisades line? Are these Disney Store exclusives, since I don't see many Disney POP figures outside of Disney. Sometimes I do, but only a few here and there.

New Muppet movie in development for potential 2013 release

This is what happens when you have no news updates.

WB trying for Justice League movie again

Absolutely. No one has even done what Avengers did, and I don't think they will for some time. On the one hand, they could start out fresh and the film could work... but that is quite a gamble. But so isn't using the same actors. We'd still need a Flash and Wonder Woman movie. Films they...

    When you need to rant...

Lucas was always slightly racist, even when the first Star Wars was named Luke Starkiller something or other. The difference is, he willfully worked well with others who suggested different concepts that swayed him off those. C3-PO was dangerously close to being Watto. Too bad he became a...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

At the risk of ticking off Prometheus fans, here's the weekend box office news... DA DA dadadada da da Circus That's the power of the first family film of the season. It exceeded box office predictions that it would open third under Prometheus and Snow White. Saturday and Sunday were very...

    Sigmund the Sea Monster

My biased for Bradys aside. I really don't see the appeal. I'm a Get Smart man... and I liked that movie as well, though Steve Carell seems to be the only one aware of the concept of the original series, being a Don Adams fan. Scooby-Doo tried too hard to be a satire, and basically cracked...

    When you need to rant...

Every generation is less moral than the last one. And that's usually a good thing, as "moral" tends to be code words for being repressed and hateful. I mean, we still have racism, but not to the extent where we have racist caricatures as our favorite cartoon stars.... Side note: Really... the...

    Sigmund the Sea Monster

I don't know if they're still doing that or it's in the conceptual stage. If it's a fully animated movie, I don't think they've even listed it yet... they have 6 more movies from now till 2014 (not counting the just released Madagascar 3). Still, I think it's safe to say it won't be LOTL...

    Best/Worst songs from Muppet films

That was their break into disco, and the only song in a Muppet Movie I find dated. But it's by the Electric Mayhem, so I can't complain about it.

Okay... I'm TOTALLY excited for Wreck it Ralph now...

So far, all we know is the villains will cameo. Ahnd like I said, there's speculation if Wily is even going to be in there. But Wily, King Koopa, and Dr. Eggman, not counting those rare arcade games, are not arcade characters. So basically anything can happen with anything else. We won't...
