Yeah, youtube is weird for me too sometimes. Like one minute there will be a list of clips on a page, and then I go back to the page two seconds later, and the clips are completely different. I hope you figure it out, Fragglemuppet!
Wow, there are a lot of 1980s Sesame Street clips going up...
I have to admit, a similar thought had occured to me. They've invested all this attention, time and money into "Elmo's World"* and the new format. Now some kids might notice Sesame Street performs just fine without them.
But that's great that your kids like the DVD. At least they've made it...
I did hear about putting Sesame Street in Northern Ireland, at The Museum event. Interesting idea, considering their big conflict is over religious differences within the same religion.
I know how you feel, my dog died last summer. I'd had her since I was a little kid. She was almost 15, so we knew it was coming. I prayed for ages that I would be home when she died. Turned out, I was the ONLY one home when she died. I was very shocked, I wish I had known it was going to...
I've actually never eaten alfalfa sprouts, so I'm not sure either. But I wanted to include a healthy alternative...and an obscure Janice reference. :)
And thanks so much ilikemuppets! That's nice of you to say! :)
Yeah, but when I was younger, there were three. I was thinking it would be more meaningful if I pretended my grandchild would be that same age. Sorry, artistic license. :)

A little advice for aspiring senior members: every now and then, take a break. You'll appreciate your forum experience better! :)
Yeah, can't wait to see the quilt, MN! I'm sure it's not too hard putting photos on the web (not that I know how to do it...but still...it can't be that hard!)
I'm glad everyone liked the clip! You know, yesterday it was the #94 Most Discussed Comedy clip on youtube!
This was the Sesame...
I would mainly recommend it if you want to see Forgetful, he has a huge part throughout the whole thing.
There's only one other DVD that features him and it's really quick.
Good luck!
No problem! "Play Along" is like a regular episode from the '80s (it may have been one, but I don't know for sure). The main plotline of the DVD is Big Bird, Elmo and Forgetful playing different games together (as in one long segment, not different clips.)
But every now and then different...
If you're asking about those two characters, definitely the DVDs, "Play Along Games and Songs, and "Sing, Hoot and Howl!"
"Play Along" is from 1987 I believe; it has Big Bird, Forgetful and Elmo (Pre-"Elmo's World, so he's actually a good character). It showcases Forgetful's inability to...
Today I noticed a clip of 1988 Sesame Street, featuring Placido Flamingo having a major crush on Maria! I actually remember seeing this episode as a kid. I really appreciated seeing it again!
