Seriously, What do want to do when you grow up?

I'm just reminded of a line from that Office Space movie, "Most people don't like their jobs." I think that's very telling. There are glamorous jobs out there, but most people won't see them. If you have the opportunity to do what you love that's great. But ultimately jobs exist so you can...

Seriously, What do want to do when you grow up?

Definitely, knowing that you've influenced someone's life for the better is the best feeling in the world. :) Even if you're not aware of it, you never know how your words and actions may effect people. And even if it doesn't right away, the important thing is to try. "When you're giving...

    The RHLC!

Well that's cool that you could get your engagement/wedding set on Ebay. I'd like to go on there, but I'm still sort of afraid! lol

If they had to recast Doc...

Well you know, Americans tend to be suckers for Scottish accents, etc. Hehe

    The RHLC!

Wow, you know, we never seem to be at a loss for material. The PBS website has a talk back section for viewers to comment on the World According to Sesame Street special. Here's what one person wrote: "That was such an impressive show and rang a bell with me as I've been involved with...

If they had to recast Doc...

If they couldn't get Doc, I wouldn't mind seeing the Captain, as I never have before.

    Elmo's World: The Movie?

I do want to give movies a chance before I've seen them. But I don't think I"ll be seeing this, I honestly have never been able to enjoy Elmo's World. I'm not going to get nasty about it, heh, that's just how it is.

    Elmo's World: The Movie?

I was thinking the same thing (though I'd probably not see the movie), they'll have to go out of the confines of that little room for at least an hour.

If they had to recast Doc...

I could see either one of them doing Doc, though obviously they'd both be very different interpretations.

Seriously, What do want to do when you grow up?

Aw, you're welcome, I'm glad that helped a little. Oh definitely, it can be very scary deciding what you want to do. It is important to remember that everyone's scared and unsure at some point (even the people who seem sure).

    The RHLC!

I think so too, this thread does seem to have a life of it's own at this point! And you know I'm sure Amy has enjoyed the crazy dreams and clips has much as we have, hehe.

Your Thoughts: Sesame Street Old School DVD

I agree the cow thing was a bit too long, but I still love it! The music is great, very retro Sesame Street. Plus, the show already has so much quick and flashy moments. They were probably aware that kids (and their parents) needed some cooling down time as well! :)

    The RHLC!

Just wanted to mention that I believe yesterday was the anniversary of Amy (Billy's Girl)'s passing. I didn't know her, I wasn't posting at MC around that time too much. But from what I heard she's remembered by a lot of people here. And apparently Richard was her favorite performer, so she...

Seriously, What do want to do when you grow up?

"I don't wanna grow up, cause baby if I did, I couldn't be a Toys R Us kid!" Lol, anyway, I definitely don't want to give up some of my childhood interests. On the other hand, I enjoy the idea of gaining wisdom as you get older. It can be painful being young. I think it's very important to...

I Dream of Jeannie's Upcoming Failure

A lot of ridiculous pressure on female actors these days. They're told blond looks better. Then two minutes later they're told people will take them more seriously as a brunette.

    Who is "Bad Barney"?

Absolutely, it's a very serious issue that isn't being addressed enough in our society. Kids are young and immature, they're not born knowing right and wrong. They have to be taught by adults. Kids who are bullied have to know how to handle themselves and not let it destroy their self esteem...
