Another Stupid movie to Overreact to...

Teletubbies could not work as a film. There's no way they could make it work. Take away the fact that a movie based on a TV show has to deal ways around being a 90 minute episode... There's NO comprehensible narrative, let alone basis for a plot. A movie has to have a plot, even a loose...

The Muppet Show Comic Book: the Four Seasons V1 out now

Actually, it's the FOURTH part of the Four Seasons, because they're one issue out of order. There's still an issue left to go, Winter, and it was supposed to be part one of the arc. I don't know if Roger put anything in there as a Grand Finale, but if he did, it's probably spoiled. I picked...

Another Stupid movie to Overreact to...

Hackers will hack anything. I'm sure they can hack just as well through a Netflix account. Too bad the thing doesn't have a pay for rental upfront, but I guess that's supposed to be a failsafe in case someone doesn't return the disks. But seriously.... the more I look at these things, the...

    Palisades-style Hanna-Barbera figures

Yeah, but part of that blame lies in the concept. There's a couple other examples, but I can't think of any at the moment. The only things I feel are aversions of that are the BRILLIANT Timon and Pumbaa cartoon and Penguins of Madagascar. Eh... better than dark skinned Sheen. But I see...

    Palisades-style Hanna-Barbera figures

Planet Sheen is a good example of Scooby and Shaggying. They took the funniest character from the show, and he's unable to hold a show by himself. You miss all the other funny characters (like Jimmy's innuendo fountain of a father), and you lose what made Sheen Unique and funny. I don't see...

    Palisades-style Hanna-Barbera figures

Not even close. Animation is not exactly a cheap thing to do, and all the shows you mentioned are reality TV. And as we all know, reality TV is the sweetheart of television producers since it's basically sweatshop programming. I did some research... Fanboy does get decent enough ratings, it's...

Another Stupid movie to Overreact to...

It would have been much wiser to release this as a DTV with Redbox in mind. Every time I walk by a Redbox, it's filled with Mockbusters and cheap kiddy videos (It used to be NCircle released Mario and Sonic cartoons). Ugly CGI mockbusters or originals that no one really gives a crap about...

    Palisades-style Hanna-Barbera figures

I honestly do not understand the status of the program. It has quite a large Hatedom among older cartoon viewers. I never really see anyone speak kindly of it, and I don't know if kids actually like it. I know kids like Johnny Test and everyone over the age of 9 hates it (though the Warner...

    Palisades-style Hanna-Barbera figures

I do agree with Sarge that the colors seem a might off (Danny's hair and Sheen)... hopefully that will be fixed by the time of their release, and other than Jimmy's nostrils, I think these have turned out pretty good. Kinda hope CatDog has a LOT of articulation to give multiple CatDog poses...

The Muppet Show Comic Book: the Four Seasons V1 out now

It's probably coming out Tomorrow, as these things tend to come out the first Wednesday of the month. I certainly hope it didn't come out last week (the 29th) as I didn't manage to get to the comic store as I have taken ill.

    Engineering Conspiracy?

George and Sid are both for younger kids anyway. They have some older science based shows that run sometimes on the weekends if you have digital PBS stations, but nothing that's really a Bill Nye or Beakman levels of engaging. I don'[t understand why there's so many nature shows they produce...

Question about Matt Vogel's Count performance

It has to be from this season. How many episodes was the Count featured in the street story. I know it isn't Super Maria... I checked that. But the Count turns to the screen, says something, and Matt adds the laugh. It's not extremely jarring. it just sounds less raspy.

Threadless Sesame Street T-Shirt Design Challenge

Yeah. I forgot all about this. Seems the entire contest petered out with no result. The Muppet contest was much more of a priority.

    How can someone hate Elmo?

...and ruins them. Wait... uh... this thread... was it about something. Ah yes. Elmo. How could someone hate this guy?

    How can someone hate Elmo?

Aw, come now... you know as well as I do Sesame Street was ALWAYS Musical. Besides... If I see Elmo talk to a baby style filler again... RRR! You can tell even the show makers were losing interest with it.

    Palisades-style Hanna-Barbera figures

Kitty Katswell. She's essentially the female spy who doesn't quite tolerate Dudley Puppy's antics. Unlike Agent 99 of Get Smart, who does admire and love Agent 86.

Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny - Worst Movie Ever?

Don't. The cartoon is a huge disappointment. It's so incredibly Bowlderized and toned down to the most insane of all degrees to the point it's GPK in name only. The kids are more annoying than disgusting, and don't even have any bad behavior. It's almost Get Along Gang levels of safe. It's...

    Palisades-style Hanna-Barbera figures

I KNOW, Right?! And they just sit there while the Adventure Time and Regular Show lines go like hotcakes. Took me months to finally get Jake. I wanted him for Christmas, and no one could find him. Man, I hope this line does well enough for those other ones to come out. Rocko, if...

    Palisades-style Hanna-Barbera figures

The Jimmy Neutron's a little off (don't remember him having nostrils) but a billion times better looking than the Mattel abortion. Kinda disappointed that TUFF Puppy's just a figurine set. Should be it's own toy line. I mean Fanboy got one.
