The Sarge is happy... who else is there?
I'm still kinda disappointed that, financially, I couldn't get Palisades' Ren and Stimpy line except for the Shaven Yak. I really wanted Mr. Horse (and bought it for a friend... how's that irony), but that's gotta be a fortune to grab by now.
A recurring segment that replaces the stale Elmo's Wolrd segment with something more focused and coherent. It's a compromise, if anything. They cannot completely divorce a 15 minute Elmo segment at the end of the show. The next best thing is to replace it with another Elmo segment. I was...
GAH!!! Where the *&^%%$ was that stuff? Other than those comics, I never seen any of that.
I hope they have everything (except Rocket Power GRRRRR!) I'd love some Doug stuff, but we know that's not gonna happen. Besides, I got some of the MCD's toys and the Disney Store Beanbag. I heard...
I wonder how Steve's schedule is. I see a LOT of Eric's characters popping up on the show, but not so much Steve. But the flipside... they're so popular in Germany, they're supposedly pushing out all the other German characters that aren't the horse and sheep. Still, I blame the fact that SS...
BUMP:
Just a head's up... I dunno who gets the license and when this is coming out or if this is happening at all, but there's loose talk (from Butch Hartman) that there's going to be a Nicktoons toyline. Supposedly it covers everything, so it could be current characters or some classics...
Kermit nothing...
Check out this interview from 2000. If you don't want to scroll down to the whole article, Frank says:
YEOW! I'd love to hear his full opinion on it some day.
The commentary was the best thing about the movie. Tim's probably great back when he did Spongebob... but his...
Yeah, I had to get that off the actual wikipedia. I don't see why the Muppet one isn't so subjective. The movie was plagued with production problems and a labored script rewritten a bunch of times. Columbia screwed Henson on this one, but Henson basically didn't care. No one did. The...
Actually, that was the original plan at one point. This was back when they just bought it and rumors were surfacing about the series. But that's correct. They would rather a disconnected series of films that are live action, similar how the original film was completely disconnected from the...
The newly revised Wikipedia article has much more good news.
The final budget was somewhere over 50 million (mostly on marketing), so it's going to lose a crapload more than we thought.
I'm loving the Rotten Tomatoes reviews on it, but I think Boston Phoenix puts it in the best perspective...
It's a culture that's been around for centuries. I really think there's room for science in faith. But we need more science education anyway, and there's somewhat of a lack of it for older audiences. Bill Nye needs to have another show.
The one thing I must question... how come there aren't more science programs on PBS? Curious George has that sort of STEM focus to it, but they specialize in it, so it isn't quite as awkward or forced. But there really isn't anything for older kids... Maybe Ruff Ruffman. Seems older kids...
Kids basically like any character on the show. It almost feels like deep down, somehow someone's underestimating Carol Spinney's ability to perform Big Bird because of his age or something... but they had more Big Bird episodes this season than the last few. But for that matter, there's less...
TELL me about it! I love the cartoon and all, but that's like forever making Batman campy because more people remember the 60's series. The cartoon did a LOT of damage to the original comic's image. They're associated with Cowabunga and Pizza when the original comic turtles ate Chinese food...
Other than the worst of Sesame Street being better than 90% of what they call preschool edutainment anyway. Barney's movie came out well after his popularity was dropping, and the Elmo movie seemed too big a money maker to fail and failed because of that... other than the fact Barney took a...
That's what bugs me about the second film. They have a very impressive rouge's gallery through out their different incarnations, and they just wanted the second film to be a revenge plot with the iconic villain. The fourth film was the ONLY time they ever fought one of their other comic book...
There's already a bunch of threads like this, but:
The positives: considering this was the new era Gonzo that put Camella and wacky stunts to the wayside (the closest thing hear is he still likes getting shot out of a cannon), this was a good movie about Gonzo and Rizzo, while there are some...
Can't say I ever really cared much for myself. And that's on a good day. I've had multiple bouts of terrible news and bad happenings this week, and I've completely lost my appetite to the point where I opened the fridge and had a panic attack.
I personally don't want to discuss it (it goes...
Television production companies rarely matter when it comes to animated adaptions. Usually the copyright for the show goes with the copyright holders. I'm not sure if it's correct, but that's usually because said copyright holders are the ones that fund the cartoon series. CBS released...
Exactly. They have that significance and all, I refuse to watch them, but they did reintroduce some characters with solid recasts we haven't seen for a while. This was the first David Rudman Scooter project, right? Scooter was in VMX and Moz (another small plus for that film... he's one of...
