The Muppet comics brought me back into buying them. Then the Darkwing Duck ones... the new IDW TMNT comics and Archie's Mega Man keep me coming back.
Now if only IDW does a comic of my favorite Hasbro toy, Mr. Potatohead, we'll be in business.
Eh... I can't believe anyone has a nostalgic soft spot for that. He was Barney level annoying.
At least your not one of those annoying FOP fans that absolutely hate the live action movie and Wishology because they're SOOOO obsessive with their Trixie Tang X Timmy Turner pairings. Like he...
My beef with Nick is that they almost intentionally throw new Nicktoons under the bus because they're not live action Tween shows like Disney had 7 years ago that even Disney doesn't market anymore. Oh, Disney has them, but Phineas and Ferb get more attention. Part of it is that they want...
'cept kids LOVE Freddy Kruger. Maybe not young kids, but seriously... kids LOVE psychotic characters. Why d'ya think The Joker is more popular than Batman.
Don't... just wait until it's on DVD. These guys proved that it isn't even so bad it's good. They all hate each other and one feels completely depressed by the experience. There's a lot of good bad stuff out there (the anime based on the Tomb of Dracula Marvel comics is pretty fun, if you watch...
But you all have to understand. Even though I had to watch it over friend's houses and through VHS releases, Ren and Stimpy was my freaking WORLD in the early to mid-90's. I have almost every issue of the comic book, too. The earliest issues are actually quite good.
Can I say I'm too afraid I'll like it if I watch it?
And I kinda almost had a moment of Brony-ism. The last week of the McDonalds Spongebob promotion, I went to one and they had all these lame leftover toys (some ugly girls toy that pops open), and one MLP in a train. Now, in a fit of...
Yeah... I hated ALL that crap. And again, it's because it was ALWAYS on at my friend's house, and I ALWAYS missed the far superior Danger Mouse and Count Duckula, which took me 20 bleeding years to see. As for Heathcliff and Inspector Gadget, eh... those were always syndicated anyway.
Of...
I really want to see them make Muppet versions of those characters and have them interact with the Sesame Street bunch. I love their designs, and they'd look just amazing in Muppet form. Plus, it makes the segment a lot less disconnected to the show if they can freely interact with the rest of...
Yeah. I mean, on the one hand, I don't see anything questionable or objectionable to the old school DVD's being watched by kids. But the fact of the matter is, this is for us. There's a LOT of 30 minute DVD's which somehow is all a child can tolerate on a DVD for some reason made specifically...
There is something that really bugs me about this thread. The fact that mid-90's to early 00's constitutes as "Old Nickelodeon." No... old Nickelodeon is when they had no original programming and aired preschool animes (and yet they have a high and mighty "no anime" clause on Nick, they air...
I don't see why they'd say that. Seems a bit redundant. Only indie films cost what Oogieloves took in. But yeah, the consensus is, it's playing to mostly empty theaters. The worldwide gross is barely a million, which is still much more than the movie is worth.
It's not so much bad for me as terribly bland.
Disney FINALLY made some new posers, and I'm sure that we're going to see them on way too many products in no time. I'm guessing Disney didn't give Sony access to these.
It's on like 3 or 4 times a day over here... didn't bother to catch it yet. Seems cute enough though. I just hope it doesn't have that loud repeat Dora style.
Does it?
Dude... How about this...
is a dog, but so isn't
Or in Arthur's case, Binky's a Dog and Pal's a dog... how come Binky can walk and talk like a human and Pal's a pet? I really like how they mentioned that in that episode.
I don't remember one either, EVEN though my local PBS is the...
I still kinda wish they'd've swapped some of the first season openers for more iconic episodes. I'd rather have the death of Mr. Hooper in full than Gordon runs the marathon.
It's a shame when the official looks worse than the fake.
I'm not going to subject you to the Hong Kong VCD of Muppets From Space again, but it's Here if anyone's curious. You'll know it when you see it. There's like 2 Kermits in it. And that's the least of your problems. And THAT looked...
WOW...
took me like an hour to watch 20 minutes for some reason, but...
WOW! That sounds incredibly awful, even for itself. It seems like it's not only terrible, but MINDBLOWINGLY terrible.
And those guys go on to literally RAVE about Follow That Bird, so you KNOW that's good taste.
Uh... actually...
Bootlegs tend to have the actual movie posters on them. Low res ones, fuzzy ones...ones that are often printed off a home computer, but the actual movie poster.
To be more specific:
Season 11
Season 12
Season 13
Seasom 14
Season 15 which will have YET another copy of that 2 Doll House segment.
Deena and Pearl would have to be a Classic Cut if they're going to be on the DVD, as they're not in any of the episodes. i REALLY hope they are a...
