That's an unfortunate future that all video game companies are facing. Even the console games of the future will have to be download only. Shovelware is killing the video game industry (we have Pillow Pet and Cold Stone Creamery games!) and shoving the worth while games off the shelves and...
Cracked makes some points
I totally agree that Star Wars out of Lucas's hands is a good thing. The Clone Wars show is steadily getting better, the Lego Star Wars specials are hilarious (and far better than the Family Guy ones)... We're oddly getting more Star Wars comedy projects for some...
My thoughts exactly. I heard about it months ago when it was supposed to be a series and thought to myself... Oh great. Another edgy remake probably inspired by Twilight or something. I hope it fails. After watching the show, I was actually ticked it didn't get picked up.
Yeah, but at least Lucas was a visionary at some point. Michael Bay sucks no matter what.
And don't make me list the "Oh Sexy Gi-i-i-i-i-irlfrie-e-e-e-e-end" guy from that John Huges movie. We don't this to be just a list of stereotypes in movies that shouldn't be seen outside of the 40's.
Another about Freaking time...
Season 1 of Duck Dodgers has been announced. Quite possibly my favorite Looney Tunes TV series that I've been begging to see on DVD for years. I almost had to buy the 2 disk Green Lantern animated movie to get the one lousy episode they released.
That and the fact he has a name for himself in Hollywood. Unless you're a big name, they usually don't let you have any freedom in your films. And I really don't think Disney would have done that movie without his famous name attached to it. I mean, it is the first Muppet Movie to really...
You know, I thought he was supposed to be a Greek stereotype before I heard he was a Jewish one.
Still, this is what happens when Lucas has free reign. The only big stereotype in the original movies was C3-PO's stereotypical effeminate British mannerisms. And we all know it's okay to make...
If it wasn't for the Poochie nature of the character (The Simpsons episode, you know... he had to be on screen every 5 minutes) and his stupid choice of voice, he probably would have been a lot more endearing. Meanwhile, I actually LOVE the diner owner in Attack of the Clones. Where's his...
I'm growing less and less worried that this would be rushed as a script. I mean, I wouldn't mind too much if this came out in 2014 if some production delay arises or there's a hold up approving the script, but I'm sure they kicked around ideas since the last film was in production, and they...
If that's the case, and I hope it's true, I hope he writes the thing as well.
Also, I have to say this. How come everyone bashes Jar Jar, but NO ONE mentions the slightly more annoying and far more racist "Chai-knees" accented Trade guys? I dunno about you, but I applauded in the theater (or...
Yes, but my point here is quite a few rich people are idiots (at least in running their own companies) and hoping the US citizens are even dumber than them. Conservatives and Liberals know who they want to vote for already, these commercials are for the un-DUH-cided voters who will be the...
When it comes to DVD's, I mostly spend my money on animation. Live action movies too, but mostly animation. The only sitcoms I have on DVD are Third Rock from the Sun and Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Not that I wouldn't buy the whole of Get Smart if I had the cash. And I usually borrow the...
That's what I was saying. When it comes to movies, no matter what, the cartoon series, comic books, and expanded universe novels ALWAYS get tossed aside, often for various inferior ideas. I like Ghostbusters 2, but wouldn't the film have been better if it followed the lead of The Real...
I really don't want to get political, but I've had it with the Super Pac attack ads who claim that the president is the reason why our economy sucks and we have no jobs (a word that since lost all meaning, mind you). Why? Because, THEY are the reason the economy sucks and we have no jobs, and...
Here's something interesting... while This article doesn't mention too much we don't already know, but it DOES mention the movie's new potential release date. Dec 20th, 2013.
Now, I'm not loving that date. It comes a little too much after Thanksgiving, though they already have a movie to be...
That's why it stinks. Cable companies bought up rights to sitcom reruns so they naught rerun them, daytime television IF it has a sitcom rerun will rerun it in the evening and ONLY current and semi-current shows. The oldest being Seinfeld, which is around 20 years old at this point. And when...
It's happening because doubling a low budget makes more money than a John Carter type film. I still think The Muppets should have hit the 100 Mil mark if it wasn't for the 3 other kid's films and the slow box office the next 2 weekends, but 88 mil domestic isn't anything to sneeze at and it...
They only aired this pilot because it was way too expensive to just toss aside. They considered filming extra footage and making it a telefilm. It really seems that the expense is the real reason this show was passed over. It wasn't by any means bad. They've picked up and aired worse (the...
