Another thing about "Mad"... for those who've seen it on the Jerusalem episode of "Shalom Sesame"... I have a pretty good feeling that Little Jerry was being operated by Frank Oz, although it was obviously Jerry's voice when originally done.

They didn't. At least not in the excerpt that was there. The only understandable English in the skit was by the AM Girls at the beginning. If this entire skit was ever shown on Rechov Sumsum, I'd presumed that would be dubbed. I guess we all know that Jazzy Spies #4 appeared on the Kibbutz video.

Roosevelt doesn't speak, but I'm almost sure that Frank Oz is operating him in the "clapping" sketch. It's hard to describe, at least for me, but Frank had a certain way of operating Anything Muppets.

I guess one instance where Ernie did "mean well" is when he decided to withhold asking Bert a very important question while he was reading his was reading his newspaper. He tried, anyway, but he ended up singing aloud and holding a loud conversation with Rubber Duckie, which disturbed Bert...

That's even another reason why that this special should be released on video/DVD. Say, Phil, you don't know if there are any plans for such a release, as there was with the Muppets on Ed Sullivan DVD?
