    Episodes 2548, 2549

Just thought I'd mention that the man in that sketch is John Moschitta Jr. I checked IMDB and it verifies that he's listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's fastest talker.

Challenge: Name when Elmo can be heard saying "Me"

Well, every time he said "Sesa-me Street", he must have said "me". :D

Your favorite Ed Sullivan Muppet skits

It's so difficult to pick a favorite because they were all great. But I think my very favorite is: "Happy Girl Meets a Monster". Great to see how the Beautiful Day Monster thing began in Muppet skits. Also like seeing the tiny finger-puppet version of Beautiful Day. I was even amused of the...

    Favorite Cookie Monster Moments

I liked Cookie's appearance on "What's My Part".

Fan Fiction: Hurricane on Sesame Street

.... a container of milk and a stick of butter? (I'm probably digging myself into a grave with that one.)

    Put Down the Duckie DVD

Hey, I'm sorry that you didn't like Placido Flamingo. I guess I can see how one might find him scary. Personally, that's among one of my favorite characters that Richard Hunt did. He was so vain and full of himself, and yet for some reason, I found his vanity endearing.

The Baker Falling Down the Stairs Series

Ooohhh.... I like that theory. Of course, I always thought that was a false mustache attached on, to make the fall-guy (pun not intended) to look extra classy. That could always be applied whether one has a mustache or not. It does facially look like it could have been Don. I have a theory...

Are these the same or different?

Yep, they're one and the same.

The Pink Panther on Sesame Street

I think Phil is referring to the Sesame Street test pilot, which were a series of 5 shows shown to the target audience. This would ultimately end up being different from the premiere episode of Nov 10, 1969 in a very important way. In the pilots, there were no Muppets like Big Bird and Oscar to...

Lots of Muppet Stuff for Sale... CHEAP!

"Ya got anything cheaper?" (I couldn't resist.) :D Looks like you'll get a good amount of offers for what you got for sale. Good luck.

    Kermit and "African Alphabet"

Hi folks! This is something that I've always been curious about: At the end of Kermit's verse in "African Alphabet" song, which begins as "Amazing beautiful creatures dancing..." does anyone know what the Muppets (voiced by Ladysmith Black Mambazo) sing afterwards? If I may go further...

Gartanius (Christopher Boone) = Bad Trader

Say, Mark, I may want to join the queue too. Could you drop me an e-mail so I could ask a question or two on your collection?

Sesame Street returning to UK television

Out of interest, did the Muppet skit about Kermit the Frog in London reporting on the famous London Fog, did that ever air in the UK?

Noggin's "Warm and Fuzzy" holiday party

Well, it's not like we need Noggin to see "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street". That special is available on VHS and DVD, so one could buy it in a store, or on Amazon, or very likely rent it from a video store or maybe even a library.

Zebadiah? Or... who is this Muppeteer?

I'm not sure who this Muppeteer is, maybe someone else knows. Heck, maybe he's lurking on this board. :) In some of these characters he sounds like it could be Jerry Nelson, but the voices are squeakier and in any case, Jerry's in the same scene. I wonder if it isn't John Lovelady...

    That was my next guess.

There's a Hole In the Bucket, Dear Liza

Do you know who the voice of Dear Liza was? It's been some time since I last saw it, but I often thought it sounded like Rita Moreno. But I could be wrong, it might have been someone else.

    The music in my head...

The description almost sounds like a film where one adult was discussing different rhythms while walking on a beach with two kids, then while they are later riding in a horse-drawn carriage, the adult started playing to steel drum to the beat of the horse's clip-clopping. Am I closer?

    Mona Lisa

Oh, yes. Mona Lisa made a cameo appearance in Jim Henson's "Time Piece".
