Scooby-Doo tried WAAAAY too hard to be the Brady Bunch movie. It's not a bad film, but the jokes are cloying and get tired after a while. The second one is far superior. Too bad the first one didn't use a more subtle approach. Actually, I hear the two made for CN films were better films than...
I'd love to see them redo some of the old Ernie and Bert skits. Just to make them HD and fit them on the show. I don't really know which ones I'd like to see specifically, though. The Pizza and Grape drink one has always been a favorite of mine.
First off... the song Oscar sings about making the Splat is obviously a parody of Sunday in the Park with George. I wanna say the song is "Finishing the Hat." You grow up having a mother that listens to that sort of thing, you know instinctively.
But it's great to see an Oscar based episode...
Technically, not a remake. It's an adaption. And video game adaptions kinda have a terrible history. The Resident Evil films are supposedly getting to the point of being better remembered than the video game depending on who you ask. I remember the Tomb Raider ones being a hit. But every...
I can't find the other thread I posted it in, but Warner Bros, surprisingly, is going to finish off Tiny Toons other than the fact that 2 of the special episodes are missing, Spring Break and Night Ghoulery. But they're more suited to a separate release anyway.
Seems like that's the only thing he's going to be Herry in, which is a shame actually. They really need to integrate the character back into the show, even if it's a one off episode.
There are two factors.
One, we're older and more cynical and jaded about things. If we were kids, we would have loved these crappy remakes because we would have been far more open to the dumb overused jokes that, being kids, we haven't heard our entire lives and got very sick of. Even...
Actually... it's been confirmed that there will be at least 2 spinoffs. Just none of them are Yoda based. More like Boba Fett and young Han Solo. Those have limitless potential.
This movie has promise. If nothing else, it's ALL CGI, Peabody looks more or less like his own character (Sherman, however...). It's not going to be a miscast CGI/Live action hybrid. We've had too many of those, and the live action actors usually suck because they desperately don't want to be...
FTB was the victim of the "we refuse to pay 10 bucks to watch something we can watch at home for free" mindset. The Simpsons had one movie and one animated short. Dragonball has 18. Cultural differences. The most a TV show had as far as movies in the US was Rugrats with 3 (technically 2 and...
Releasing these before they air kinda ruins the surprise. I know they want to drum up publicity for the series, but it's far more satisfying to see these in the show first and online second.
You know those figures are animated and designed by Aardman, right?
I don't know how parody law figures into toy making. I don't recall the Meanie Babies line having any problems with Lucas when the Parody Star Wars bean bags came out. I do know the Garbage Pail Kids got in trouble with the...
There was a letter B segment from a couple years back. I still think the Telly Baby Bear thing came out of David needing a recurring character on the show.
Rise of the Guardians came out late in the season, and it did so so. I blame the fact that the Thanksgiving weekend isn't really as good a release time as they think it is. There's such a huge lull, and The Muppets proves that (there is no way it shouldn't have made 100 mil in the US, but that...
Like the rapper said, I got 99 problems... Valentines Day ain't one.
The more I think about it, I'm getting sick of the opinion that "Valentines Day was created by the card and candy companies." You can say that about any holiday, frankly. And if they didn't, then we'd only have solemn...
It seems that this is, if anything, a concept. They're barely considering this to be considered, that is.
I just wonder if stand alone movies would be that good an idea. Seems a Yoda film would be a prequel to the prequels, and there's some potential for showing whatever the heck he was when...
*&^%$!! I really wanted that movie to be at the end of this year. There must be some production delay or something. I'm pretty disappointed by that move, especially how crummy Dreamworks' other films are this year. Turbo?! Really? Now it's going to be up against the Muppets (unless that...
We won't know exactly what's going on for at least 2 years (unless they only filmed half of season 44). I'm sure they have a back up Elmo, and things will be back to as normal as possible. It would be a silver lining if other characters filled in gaps and Elmo kept a lower profile, but that's...
