Experiences with "I'll Miss You, Mr. Hooper"

Yeah, I was born in 1989, so Mr. Hooper was already long gone by the time I came around, and David had just died as well, so I pretty much only knew Mr. Handford (David Langston Smyrl, I don't remember Leonard Jackson)... and I honestly don't remember if I ever questioned the existence of a...

The “What did you do today?” thread

Even though I drink milk all the time, and have been for years, lately, it's been tasting funky to me for some reason, like it's always spoiled or something... and apparently, I'm the only one who tastes it, no one else seems to think so; so I tried to see if I could find some kind of...

    Questions about anything

And whoo, it's not available for free download anywhere. :p But yeah Drtooth, you're right... took me quite a deal of time to find out the name of another such font was "Socket".

    Questions about anything

Does anyone know the name of the kind of font that was used for the end titles on a number of 60s sitcoms?

A Breakdown of the Series' Timeline

I recall the Ding-a-long episode, and yes, I do recall Grover speaking in that episode, and remember how odd/different his voice sounded. It was just one line, however, when everybody was throwing out suggestions for a song to play for the ding-a-long.

The “What did you do today?” thread

I found twenty smackers in a buggy at the store today. Cha-ching!

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

It doesn't even play on a library computer, so what's the deal?

What song can you not get out of your head?

Yes indeed, Margaret Hamilton reprised her role of the Wicked Witch of the West, while Billie Hayes as Witchiepoo from H.R. PUFNSTUF was in the special as well. PAUL LYNDE: Margaret, you haven't introduced me to your friends! MARGARET: Oh, forgive me. This is Ace, this is Gene, this is Peter...

    The corny joke thread

A guy walks into the psychiatrist's office and says, "Nobody listens to me!", and the psychiatrist said, "Next!"

    What made you think today?

Sometimes I kind of wish I was alive in the 60s, just so I can experience what the genuine excitement of the switch to "living color" was like.

    When you need to rant...

Okay, here's a rant I have: THE FRICKEN NEWS! Seriously, is anyone else having a problem in their towns with local stations constantly "expanding" their news coverage throughout the day? I just learned that my local NBC affililate is dropping their 12:30 airing of I LOVE LUCY, so they can...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

Well, no matter where you go, or where you live, you're going to get screwed over one way, or another, for one reason, or your mother. Lemme tell ya, DECENT landlords are a RARE seed. Seriously, real estate, or even renting, is like a bloodsport, and landlords are some of the smuggest snakes...

    When you need to rant...

Haha, well, it really is kind of a rags to riches story, so-to-speak: they really did build up an empire for themselves over these years, all because of their duckcalls. It sounds cockeyed, but that's supposedly how they made it big: the patriarch of the family, when he was younger, built these...

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

It always costs more to live in the city, city is life is simply more expensive. One thing that intrigues me though, it that supposedely, these big cities like NYC are apparently among the safest places to live now, as opposed to smaller cities, or even the suburbs, which is kind of hard to...

Speculation: Sesame Street 45th Anniversary Possibilities

It doesn't appear to be working, but I see from the preview the curtains in the windows of Elmo's brownstone look much brighter and colorful. It seemed like, based on the pattern they've gotten themselves into, that they were overdue for more noticable changes to the set.

    Any Foxtrot fans here?

Yep. Haven't read it in many ages and moons, well actually, I haven't really read the funnies in general in many ages and moons. :sigh:
