Yeah. They weren't exactly popular after the turn of the decade. They had some nice stuff, much better than some of the other crummy mainstream acts of the day. Didn't think they were even still around either.
I'm surprised that the Muppet Studios/Henson even bothered to have a cover story for the character. It's not like animation only characters get any respect or acknowledgement anyway. Though, to be honest, a Men in Black movie about agent Alpha would have been a lot more interesting than the...
There was a scene deleted in Family Guy that explained it. Essentially he overdosed on Ritalin. The bigger mystery is how he gained age. Of course the one thing I think Family Guy has over The Simpsons is that they age the characters. So I'd almost say it's consistent for Cleveland Jr. to be...
O like Tom Bergeron. I remember when he had a local talk show in Boston. I just hate the shows he hosts. he really needs something that focuses on comedy that isn't a bunch of MidWesterners with video cameras.
That's a distinction that frankly gets even less meaningful when you realize that most of those classic clips are somewhere online. It's not so much the lack of classic clips that's the current show's problem. The lack of newer footage sticks out like a soar thumb. I do believe, however...
It's a buzz word term. As I've always said, you can do anything to a white male character (Homer Simpson, for example) and no one will complain. Anything else, some group or another will usually complain. "Strong female role model" can be a good thing, but often times leads to flat Mary Sue...
That's how I feel too. I'm not going to assume they won't be back to perform the characters when they're available. That's why it's only Gobo and Red hosting. I wonder if they've gone for someone other than Matt for Gobo, due to them filming the Muppet film now, or if they had someone else in...
Cleveland was such a poorly defined character in the original show. He was the token black guy (voiced by a white guy), and his gag was that he was extremely passive and talked slowly. I'd say that was a smarter choice for a spinoff than Quagmire. That would just be a half hour of rape jokes...
They had better the shell go through with it this time. I was very disappointed that the last one went no where.
gadget really needed a revival after those awful movies, and those two pretty good but under the radar ones. There hasn't been any merchandise except for that comic and the...
Jeez. Hey! We gotta round up Turkey Lurkey and Loosy Goosey and tell the king the sky is falling.
Seriously?
There are 3 things we commonly forget.
The show is pushing 45. How many shows have lasted so much as 10 seasons... 5 seasons without changing something? A show that's on longer...
The kicker is that only 4 of those songs were even released on that CD.
Unless it's some sort of union or music publishing thing, those were definitely false copyright claims. Still... long out of print CD... real bullcrap. And all because WMG didn't take the generous offer Google gave them.
I wonder if it's temporary, or Henson is just going with puppeteers that aren't currently working for Disney or Sesame Workshop for availability issues. I'd like to think that Boober and Wembely are going to have the same performers when Dave and Steve are available.
I'll take Selena Gomez over Rob Schnider. But yeah, Disney kinda forced her way in there. Luckily it was brief. I'm sure other studios would have done the same thing anyway. Had Universal produced the movie, they'd have had nothing but NBC celebrities and forced references to NBC programs...
That's through prolonged exposure and close quarters. Chances are, if you live in a confined space with many people, viruses will find a way no matter what. I never get sick from someone on the train or just some passing person. I get it from hours of being with someone who just realizes they...
I agree. There's no call to release the complete series before the final one. I have no problem with complete collections, mainly because in the long run they're usually cheaper to get all at once. Though, convenience lies in buying single sets. But releasing it before, rather than along...
Selena Gomez was a contractual obligation enforced by Disney. You have to hand it to the writers for giving her a backhanded line, "My manager told me to be here."
That is, without a doubt, the most backhanded cameo since Michael Jordan in Looney Tunes Back in Action.
Sesame Workshop I can at least be kind of sympathetic towards, given their budget woes. I still don't see how a couple thousand people (at most) who wouldn't buy the DVDs anyway cause such a dent. I'm sure plenty of people pirated crappy digicam copies of The Avengers, and that didn't stop it...
