And to think... they only look slightly worse than the commercial Muppet Costumes.
Seriously... that first one of Bert and pallet swapped Orange Bert....
I dunno about February. That's kinda the month Disney dumped cheapquels and tv series movies on with mixed success (Jungle Book 2 and Return to Neverland flopped, but Recess did quite well). I'd say, they've had a hit with the Oz film releasing it earlier in the month of March, and there is...
Somehow, Elmo making a balloon friend for Rocko reminded me of this:
Anyway, at least the engineering aspect was toned down a bit this episode. Comes across as simple arts and crafts. I really liked Elmo's little aside about "Elmo can't believe Elmo just said that..." If that wasn't...
To run it down... Clone Wars was a far superior version of what the prequels tried to offer. They even managed to salvage the worst character in the franchise. In fact, people who adamantly hate the prequels actually like this series. The movie and the first season weren't exactly a great...
I'm literally on pins and needles for the big Archie Mega Man/Sonic the Hedgehog crossover. I'm not even going to question the fact that only 3 Mega Man games were made for Sega Systems (A Europe and Asia exclusive remix of the three first games with a quick bonus game, a TERRIBLE port of Mega...
While we're on the subject. Hot Wheels finally decided to release a die cast replica of the Flintstone car. Mercifully, in it's regular line. Hopefully we'll see some other Muppet based vehicle appear on the regular line some day.
Or at least The Jetsons car or the Phooeymobile.
The Clone Wars has over 100 episodes! That's a feat! Even popular shows get pushed out the door at 52, maybe 65 if they're lucky. Heck, nowadays if you get renewed that's a miracle.
As Disney owns the characters now, they clearly want their own Star Wars animated series. I'd almost see...
That's the thin line that has to be walked. Something believable that doesn't tick everyone off (though, again, the tell tale sign is looking at the calendar). If someone were to post "Fraggle Rock Crossover with My Little Pony and Spongebob," that's a situation where you say "Need I even...
I'd say something, but no one knows what to expect out of the next film. I can see aged Luke, Leia, and Han, all taking high ranking government positions after a huge time skip. Anything else would have to depend on the plot they're going for. That's a tightly held secret.
I never liked the term guilty pleasure. Seems to be thrown around too much by people who want to rationalize watching sleazy reality programs that would be completely out of character to watch. Oh. And they watch it ironically, which as I've always said is like book burning. As in, you have...
I hope they reconsider and put it much earlier in the month. Look at how well Oz did. Then when Dreamworks' film came out, it fell to third or so. Dreamworks has every intention of releasing Peabody and Sherman next March too. I kinda hope the Muppets would get a substantial lead in before then.
The problem is that they're a niche market thing. I actually did see classic Shalom's Chanukah special that one time at Best Buy and sometimes at Barnes and Nobel stores that still sell DVD's. Wal*Mart wouldn't touch the things even if they slapped Elmo all over the covers. These DVD's are...
The problem with April Fool's jokes is thus...
They're not as convincing as they used to be, and some of them are basically forcing some pet project/desire as a "get the hint?" message. Which leads us to the inevitable and predictable improbable cross overs, impossible to believe products and...
Actually, seeing the whole special actually puts the Matzoh in the House number into context. I had absolutely no idea why they hid that stuff and why they had to look for it (other than the fact that you have to eat it that holiday).
I wish they'd put the other Shalom Sesame episodes on PBS...
I don't think we'd see it in Target any time soon. I haven't been to a TRU for some time, so I can't check there. But TRU seems like the place that it will eventually end up.
The only way I want to see Skeeter in a Muppet project is if it's written by someone who read the comics. I just have no faith that anyone will get the character like Roger and Amy did.
And it also gets the plum spot after How I Met Your Mother half the time. But I think you hit the nail on the head with that one. They use it as a seasonal replacement when whatever bad sitcom CBS tries to force down our throats flops. At least we don't have to deal with KoMut's horrid...
