    Opening sequence mysteries

Lol, that's a good point, never thought of that! What also confuses me is why Pa Gorg is the one pumping the well; wouldn't he just have Junior do it for him? Hehe I would say the spontaneous pleasure is the best reason, to demonstrate to the audience what the Fraggles are like.

    Follow That Bird: sales spike?

I'm slightly amazed but not very. In the real world, children don't all enjoy only one thing or one character; there is variety. And perhaps parents were also inspired to buy more classic material after Old School. Either way, congrats Follow That Bird! (And please take note Sesame Workshop! Hehe)

What sketches scared you as a kid?

::shivers:: Come, Pinky, we must prepare for tomorrow night... And great comment, ISNORDEN! Wow, another flashback. I remember there used to be a building near my house that looked very similar to the Triangle house. I dreaded going by it every time! Lol

What sketches scared you as a kid?

Oh boy, someone posted the Triangle Home sketch! Don't ask me why but I used to be TERRIFIED of this one! I used to dread this coming on. I guess the triangle house looked kinda creepy and the sky in the background was a bit dark. Plus the song itself is rather sad and melancholy, so I guess...

    The RHLC!

My idea of Heaven is being able to sleep in whenever you want, and it doesn't get ruined by noise or worries of the day. ;) Also, that Siddhartha quote, about how Heaven is "everything that he had ever loved in his life, and what had ever been valuable and holy to him in his life." It's not...

    The RHLC!

Haha, I know how they feel! I was up til 2:30am last night watching PBS' tributes to Monty Python. By the end, I couldn't see at all; my vision was completely blurry. And it didn't get better until the next day (I was positive I'd gone blind, lol)! Yeah, to me the idea that the After Life must...

    New Years Resolutions

Great attitude and good luck to you, Claudia! Look at it this way, when it's cold outside, we get to have hot chocolate! hehe (Metaphor for life there ;) )

    New Years Resolutions

Some resolution advice from our friends at Harvard Medical: "One common mistake is to have too many goals. Another formula for failure is to set your sights on behaviors that are too vague, such as being a better spouse. A third pitfall is setting goals that are too lofty." :)...

    Caroll Spinney Interview

Why is Elmo’s World given so much importance? "I guess they just felt that it was a good idea. The thing that made Elmo a big success was the Tickle-Me-Elmo doll. Of course, we do need the money to keep on the air." Heh, very true, unfortunately.

    New Years Resolutions

Very true, the point is that you tried. Things would be much worse if you didn't. :) I try making resolutions about attitude changes, but I find if they are made too vague or broad, they are very difficult to carry out. So I try to say "I will take each situation as it comes, and try to deal...

    Christmas Menu Descriptions

I love the Manhattan Melodies menu, one of the best, captures the mood perfectly (and it's my favorite Muppet movie hehe)!

    The RHLC!

Hehehe, that's so cute. I imagine when people talk of "drinking and making merry" in Heaven, they actually mean it (minus the Earthly nonesense hehe).

    New Years Resolutions

I admit I'm usually bad at keeping resolutions. But this year, I'm determined to go to the gym more. That way I won't feel so guilty. ;) I would also resolve to clean my room more, but I doubt that's going to happen, lol.

    Look at this...

Exactly, those are good examples. Heh, well yes, no one ever said writing was easy! (And if they did, heh, well...) Reminds me of Fraggle Rock Season 2 DVD, when Jerry Juhl discussed the Traveling Matt segments and the pressure to make them funny and relevant to the story every week, lol.

    Look at this...

What you do in a case like this, is take your original idea, and tweek it enough so it's still your work, but stands apart from the already published movie. Movies and TV shows with similar plots are made all the time. And as long as it's not blatently obvious, audiences don't mind.

Well This is a New One...

I'm reminded of the song "Bad News" from Fraggle Rock where Boober describes his various superstitions and Gobo jumps in to keep it all in perspective. ;) Boober: "If you step upon a crack, you'll break your mother's back. If a bee flies 'round your head, you'll spend the week in bed. Everyday...

Student Expeled from art school for quoting Sweeney Todd

Wow, that's pretty harsh. I went to a Christian high school as well, and while there were some restrictions, we still got to do several secular shows (including RENT). And the only reason we didn't do Jesus Christ Superstar was probably because our theater didn't have the resources, hehe.
