Some people have earned it by providing specific content, ideas or valuable feedback for the line. Others have earned it for showing longtime support etc. It's at Ken's discretion, but i have always gathered there are reasons behind the choices.
Congratulations Zack, it's good to have you...
Thanks all you guys for the cool birthday wishes. I had a fantastic day, one of the best yet actually - although my girlfriend was in Paris (and just for the record i am only linking those two statements for news purposes - haha). I got some Muppet figures, the ALF DVD set, a Pen set, Money...
Yes Cory. The pilot was a success with viewers despite a mixed reaction from the critics. ALF's Hit Talk Show has been picked up by TV Land and will return for it's first season in October with a regular weekly time slot. No idea about the cartoon on DVD as yet - i'm not sure whether the...
There will be a "Jim Henson Company" logo followed by a "Walt Disney Company" one simply because JHC are going to be producing the future programming for Disney. That part has nothing to do with whether they will be using Jim Henson in the branding or not. There is absolutely nothing to say...
Oh sure Bear is a brilliant show. It's just the style in which Bear speaks to kids is a talk down style, it has to be because he's talking straight to camera and the age of the viewers. It is in a warmer way than most other kids shows that do that though. I was just using it as an example of...
I think we do agree for the most part actually. I do feel a lot of shows are like that, and actual content quality has been sacrificed for attractive design and brandability. Just my point is that todays kids are watching it and enjoying it, seeing as they want the merchandise and want to copy...
I love this point that gets dragged up. Whether or not it is adult influenced Kids ARE watching this stuff and enjoying it. The ratings, international sales and merchandise sales point to that. If they didn't like it, they wouldn't sit through it and we all know kids are far less tolerant of...
The Hoobs is indeed a very modern type show. That's what kids want nowadays - what do you want Henson to do - make something very 80's so a bunch of twenty somethings are happy, see the kids turn off and not see a dime from the show? I also agree it is very British, much more so than Moppatop...
Hey Tiger, great puppet. Very colorful. Such a cute fuzzy wuzzy lion deserves a dark, fearless, frightening name like Caligula, Lord Of The Jungle but Rory works for me too !
Stating this as fact is actually slander/libel against the Disney company and Michael Eisner too. It's also not Muppet related or a Muppet Headline - not sure why it was posted here.
Thats interesting. I remember Jamie raving about the original. I like both from what i can remember, a lot of the busts did look superior in likeness to certain of the Palisades figures but then stuff renders differently in different matierials i suppose. Never liked Palisades Piggy's - all...
Originally they were showing a fairly different Piggy, people really liked it a lot. Then they replaced it with the one that was actually produced. I think thats why people make comments about that Piggy bust.
