Can I just say that Santa has not been out of the spotlight at all this year?
I really don't know about the rest of you, but honestly, in my area, there's been all kinds of Christmas festivities and Santa appearances all year long. Seriously. Back in March? The very week of St. Patrick's Day...
Cheese is...
What the...
And the...
Then the...
What?
What?
For real? You have got to be kidding me. Seriously? I swear that sounds like something they'd do on an episode of SEINFELD: George looks at the menu, sees that a McDouble is one price but a double cheeseburger is another...
So I was at McDonald's for lunch today, and I happened to see something rather odd:
On the "Dollar and More" menu (or as it should more accurately be called, the, "We Want to Raise Prices on Everything and Stop Selling Stuff for a Dollar" Menu), I saw this:
McDouble: $1.19
M'kay?
Then...
Didn't they just do an episode like that, like, two seasons ago?
But, aside from that, once again, most of these episodes sound tired, cliched, and unoriginal. Sibling Seniority Squabble between the Tibbles? The Tibbles smothering D.W. with kindness after she "saves them"? Ladonna sitting on a...
(And void of sequelitis this time).
Not because everything gets multiple sequels in this day and age, but when it comes to Muppet movies, there's a pattern that they always come in threes. The movies that were made while Jim was still alive came in three (TMM, GMC, MTM), the first theatrical...
I can't get into the new episodes, I just can't. NOSTALGIA CRITIC has suffered from both Retool and Halfway Plot Switch.
Reviewing movies that have just recently been released (though apparently Doug's policy is he won't review a movie still in theaters)? Strike 1.
The sudden addition of...
I personally actually like clip shows myself, but like mr3urious siad, they tend to work better if they have some kind of framing device, like M*A*S*H's "Our Finest Hour," for example, where Clete Roberts returned to interview the 4077th once again, and the characters' anecdotes were accompanied...
As I said, this problem only persists on MC for me; I can type anything with no problem anywhere else, but MC it's like the message can't keep up at the rate I type.
Uh... don't we already have another thread for complaining about unnecessary sequels?
Well, it's the same with vampires: that whole craze had kind of fizzled out within the last 3-4 years or so, and yet, both network and cable seem to keep cranking out carbon copies of TRUE BLOOD and VAMPIRE...
I'm glad we switched fonts for posts and all, but I've been having a problem with posting: it's like the message box can't keep up or something, as I'll type out what I want to say, but the message itself will still be in the input process, even after I type, as if what I type takes twice as...
And to further touch on what Sergeant Pooter Parpy said, I've said it a thousand times, part of the reason why it'll never be like the old days around here anymore is because a number of significant "old timers" aren't even here anymore, and many of them by their own choice.
Granted, half of...
Have you ever noticed the newest biggest double standard we have going on right now that if fat people are shamed, everybody looks away and brushes it off, but if skinny people are shamed, that's someone the most despicable thing anyone could do?
I know the old saying is don't judge a book by its cover, but I have the DVD cover art is terrible. It looks bootleg... that's how bad it is, it looks like a bootleg DVD: the cover art looks like something some guy whipped up in Photoshop, printed it out, then slipped it into the case.
I honestly don't know what thread to post this in, but here's something I remember watching in Grade 1 or so...
To a bunch of little kids with no real developed sense of humor, this was the funniest thing we had ever seen.
Does anyone know if YT is still monitoring our viewing activity and what we watch? I find it too much of a coincidence that half of the time I find certain "new" vids, 1-2 days later they're blocked or removed due to copyright (and after they've been posted for years).
It actually wasn't THE VIEW that brought me back; I had a lot of updating to do on my Scarblog, Facebook, G+ and such, and I figured since people were asking about me, I might as well have dropped in and let people know I'm back from the dead for now.
