The show would be too depressing. I mean, I love Phineas and Ferb's Dr. Doof, but he's slightly depressing with his abusive terrible childhood. That's at least played for laughs. Helga's problems are all very dramatic, and as funny as trying to get as many drunk references into a kid's show...
Clearly cost more money. Plus it was probably cheaper just buying a network out from under someone willing to get rid of it.
I'm starting to doubt Disney's clout over everything. Yeah, they have litigious lawyers, but they can't kick Pat Robertson's butt off the network, and they can't tell...
Bully and Bigot aren't even the right words. The guy is clearly dangerously insane. He makes The Midnight Bomber What Bombs at Midnight look calm and reserved. There's got to be something that happens to writers when they write long enough that they become embittered self-righteous jerks...
It depends... all these writers wind up going insane from years of writing. It's true that Frank Miller wrote some great stuff, then wrote some terrible stuff after he became an Islamaphobe. These things kinda happen when writers write for too long and become insane from it.
But I must...
I dunno... it seems kinda funny in hindsight when you watch the 90's episode Cadet's Regrets, where Dave was insanely worried Alvin was in the military (I haven't seen the episode in a while, so I'm missing some nuanced details).
Considering the sad behind the scenes shenanigans on Brave, there is that unfortunate boy's club air to Disney. But then again, we're talking about a company that mass markets talking cars and superheros to little boys and make their proactive female role model princesses that hate sitting...
All I know is, get ready to spend a fortune on a UV protected frame, and don't hang them anywhere they could get direct sunlight, or over a heat source.
I got 3 animation cels (Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Real Ghostbusters, Saint Seyia) sitting in a bag that I just can't do a thing...
It sure was, but that's what passes for kid's entertainment. I totally was right about bringing them into the real world being stupid... but I had such low expectations and almost masochistic tendencies to see the film, it was actually not half as terrible as I thought it was going to be. I...
On the subject of the Smurfs... I've just seen the trailer and it's meh. It does seem like a story lifted out of the 1980's Hanna Barbera cartoon, but not really in much of a good way. The Nega-Smurf that J.B. Smoov is going to play looks like a Jar Jar Binks level of annoyance, but then again...
Peabody and Sherman was bumped to Next March a while ago. I really hope it doesn't conflict with The Muppets Again. It seems that Dreamworks learned its lesson from the unfortunate fact that November isn't the cash cow everyone thinks it is when Rise of the Guardians didn't perform that well...
I have to apologize to everyone and myself, especially myself, for not being the one to have mentioned this skit before hand. I'm pretty disappointed in myself for letting that opportunity slip by, but by Toutatis, someone else mentioned it and it's as glorious as it sounds.
First off, just...
For all DC is putting into this movie, and believe me, it's a gamble and a half with a series of franchise films on the line, it had better be.
I'd be amazed if it tops Iron Man 3. It seems like it will do well enough on its own.
To be fair, Superman was the first Superhero to be created, and all the way back in the 30's. And the worst part is, all of the famous traits of the character weren't even part of the comics! A radio show invented Kryptonite to work around a problem with the voice actor (I recall reading he...
I really hope this is the Superman movie that does it. They've been trying very hard to get a Superman film franchise up and running for years. Some film concepts were absolutely terrible, and it's a good thing we never got them (Superman Lives? Ewwwww).
I unfortunately agree with Cracked...
He clearly thinks the character should be separate from the rest of the show. Sort of like the other characters on Abby's Flying School without the budget restrictions that would keep them from integrating as real puppets.
I do agree with that. Murray interacts better with real people...
