Except Take Two wasn't even a TV show. It was something they put on during the commercial breaks. I don't see why they stopped. Maybe the other celebrity appearances were getting far too expensive.
They'd need to rebuild Strangepork. I hear the one they used in Bohemian Rhapsody was on its way out. They were probably lucky it held together that long. Notice how he didn't have his glasses.
At least, I remember him not having them.
The sliding scale of Muppet popularity...
Sesame Street is the top. It's been seen by almost everyone all over the globe, it's been on consistently for well over 43 years... you're far more likely to see a reference to Sesame Street than the other 2 combined. Even "A loaf of Bread, a...
That was all about politics and William Randolph Hearst scaring the crap out of anyone who dared to see it. Theaters wouldn't even carry the film for fears of Hearst's repercussions. He's pretty much the reason why hemp is illegal. And that film kinda killed Orson Welles's career, leaving him...
Show quality aside... these sitcoms are very disposable and last only a few years no matter how popular it was to start with. Personal feelings about these shows aside, I hate that kid's programming is so disposable. Even when it's popular and does well and it has a sizable audience, it always...
The original Teen Titan cartoon... well... this original Teen Titan cartoon (there was that one well before it by Filmation in the 70's... and not that there wasn't an effort to get a Teen Titan cartoon in the 80's, but the networks wanted Smurf ripoffs instead) was one of the most insane shows...
The little kids like it. I can see why, but it's quite obvious that they only care about Demographic specific programming. Anyone older than 13 has to watch adult swim and nothing else. I think it's a sad realization that only adult cartoon viewers care about character development, long...
Hey. Have you seen that awesome new Fraggle Rock movie?
You didn't?
No one did because it was never made?
It's the same old complaint every single time. I don't see Disney trying to quell the Muppets as much as the detractors think they are. I have concern they're focusing more on...
I still don't subscribe to the term "timeless." As hard as you may try, everything ever made is the product of it's era. You'll see stars of the day in those roles, and the occasional reference to something. Things shouldn't be timeless because that takes away their historical perspective...
To be fair with TMNT, they keep changing the origin. AS long as they don't make them aliens, I'm fine with it. They can be mutated by aliens (everything but the movies has that, and only due to budget concerns), but they ain't Alien Turtles.
Of course, there are those films (like Batman...
I've had it with 144p. I have to turn 144p off EVERY TIME and reload the entire video and if I'm lucky, I don't have to do it again. And I'm NEVER Lucky! You can turn off the HD in your playback, but you can't turn off the lousy 144p.
You gotta admit, it's far better looking than CGI Mickey. I never liked how he looked in CGI. The other characters look alright, but Mickey and Minnie look ghastly in CGI.
Yeah, but those aren't Super Hero films. The origin of Star Trek everyone knows, even non-Trekkies, because it was the opening narration of the old series, and that's been referenced and parodies to death.
There will, some day, be a Super Hero movie that isn't a sequel that takes you right...
Quoted for truth.
I, for one, am sick of rationalizing all the things wrong with Henson that make Disney a competent parent company for The Muppets, and I'm also sick of saying Muppets From Space and Muppet Wizard of Oz. I'm also tired of explaining that things that are in the show aren't...
I'm guessing those reviews I saw today were basically sourpusses that were expecting too much. It looks solid, and a second film can only be better without exposition in the way.
I really hope to see a GOOD Brainiac story used theatrically in the cards some day. One where he doesn't have a...
