Funny, I carried my Scooter plush everywhere too. He was really ragged by the time it was all said and done. He had been resewn several times and his glasses had to be glued multiple times as well. He was my favorite toy at the time. I remember one time I came home from school and I found out my...
My theory is that people are having seizures at Twilight because their brain is rejecting the stupidity they're trying to forcefeed it by watching the thing.
I've never met an actual muppet. The closest I've come is seeing a Kermit poser behind glass at the Jim Henson museum in Leland, Mississippi. I used to live right down the road from it.
I can easily imagine forgetting there's a hand inside the characters. That's the beauty of things like...
You're right RedPiggy, it DOES drive everyone nuts when I tell them I'm not interested in relationships. When I tell people that the idea of sex repulses me I usually get some bullcrap like "You only say that because you've never had it"
Well I haven't really had a sheltered life. I know what it...
Now, see I like the Shrek movies. I don't really know why but I do. I remember collecting the glasses McDonald's had for 3. I still have them packed away somewhere.
I'm curious. What exactly is Hugo even about?
I was a wierd kid growing up. I was picked on a lot for it. I really had no escape. At home my father was abusive. He hated the things i was into and hated me pretending and using my imagination. If you think of the Dursleys from Harry Potter you're pretty much on the money, though the books...
Oh yeah, I remember Rude Dog and the Dweebs. I never missed it if I could avoid it.
Our School banned Spuds shirts. One of my friends came in wearing one and they forced him to turn it inside out and wear it that way all day. The people who ran my school had the intelligence of a particularly...
The idea of Twilight coming out ahead of the Muppets sickens me. I knew it was a foregone conclusion, but it doesn't make it any less annoying. But I look at it this way. Ten years from now no one will remember Twilight while the Muppets will still be chugging along winning new fans and...
Don't get me wrong, I grew up on the half hour toy commercials too and I still have a soft spot for some of them myself. Particularly Masters Of The Universe and Pound Puppies.
I'm with you on the adult collector stuff. I prefer kid's toys. I'd kill for a kid's action figure of Rowlf.
I've...
I used to have that ALF. Unfortunately I gave it away a few months ago. I do have a Talking Cooler from Pound Puppies The only problem is his neck is broken. He fell off a shelf and landed on his head. I doubt he still works after that. I'm keeping him anyway because I can't bear to throw him away.
Very much so.
Not a single Muppet toy on the shelves of major retailers like Wal Mart or Target. I really do believe the film will do well merchandise or no merchandise though. The only competition it really has is a couple brain dead films that deserve to flop and flop hard.
The fact that Cars...
Snoopy is my absolute favorite cartoon character and he may well be my favorite fictional character period. One of my favorite toys growing up was a poseable Snoopy figure made by Knickerbocker toys. I carried that thing everywhere and it got to the point where all I had left was the head.
Unfortunately I'll have to wait for DVD or Pay Per View. I can't get out to theatres anymore. I tend to freak out in situations involving crowds. Even if I went I'd be too nervous to enjoy the film.
According to my mom the first movie I ever saw in theatres was Disney's Jungle Book and the second was none other than The Muppet Movie. Of course I was very young at the time (two or three I think ) and I really don't remember any of the experience.
I caught the last hour of Megamind back when we had one of those free channel preview deals. I liked what I saw of it. I'd love to see it all the way through.
Toy Story 3 is the highest grossing animated movie of all time. It's popular so it gets tons of merchandise. Frankly there's not near as much Toy Story merchandise as there is Cars stuff. They're milking that cash cow with both fists.
Glad to see people around here like Monsters Vs Aliens. It's probably my favorite Dreamworks movie.
I agree about the Dinosaurs holiday thing. That's still one of my all time favorite shows even though the finale was one of the most depressing things I'd ever seen. The only thing that compares...
