Acrtually I think Piggy is a good role model for heavyset people. She still allows herself to be beautiful even though she is a pig, habits and all, and could allow herself considerably less savoir fare.
I got real worried when I first saw the skit where Ernie buried Bert in the sand and he can't find him, and he's all worried about Bert. Although I already figured out what happened to Bert, I was afraid that bert would sufficate under that big hill of sand.
I don't remember Gonzo being in many episodes of Muppets tonight. I remember he was in the "Michelle Pfeiffer" episode as the one who points out that KMUP has a gap in the program lineup, and in the "Sandra Bullock" episode where he collides with the band leader of 'Solid Foam,' (Whatever his...
I know alot of people say this, but I think it's the closing number to the Harry Belafonte episode of The Muppet Show. ("We come from the fire, we go to the fire.") I think it was one of the skits that Jim Henson himself loved. Even Statler and Waldorf got into it. That's really saying something.
Well another potential buyer is Viacom. That'd be cool too if the Muppets were on VH1 or Nickelodeon. I would prefer either they or Warners get the licence since those companies own several cable networks and surely they can put a Muppet series on one of them. If Disney gets it, then there's a...
Well it was nice being able to see Fraggle Rock in the morning and The Muppet Show in the afternoon. Even if I had to wade through reruns of Doogie Howser and Alf. Plus, one of the Odyssey interstitials was the only time I saw Pepe do a performance without Seymour.
I think Rod Serling is right: If there was a nuclear holocaust all of the books in the libraries would still survive, mostly because of how well they secure those covers on there.
The whole point is that Fozzie's act is SUPPOSED to be bad. Fozzie is supposed to be the amateur of the Muppet Show, and he's still learning how to keep a beat and tell a joke that won't reduce the crowd to humorless blobs. But really, he's the only memeber of that show that if he gets booed...
Why analyze it? Especially in the Muppets where the lamposts on the street and the sandwich on your dinner plate can spring fourth and have their say on things.
Just this morning I heard an ad on the radio where Kermit and Piggy advertise Denny's Grand Slam breakfast, stimultaeously celebrating it's 25th year along with the Muppet Show's 25 year anniversary. Piggy said she was gonna order 3 and then asked Kermit if he wanted anything, hilarious...
Well, I still insist that becuase of Statler and Waldorf interfering in Gonzo's acts, Gonzo got badly hurt many times. Granted, Gonzo likes getting hurt, but still it's not comparable to Fozzie's feelings getting hurt.
I like the fuzzy brown bear, I really do, but the poor guy needs to get a...
What is the strangest gathering of Muppets you've ever seen put together in any material?
When I was a little kid, I had a Muppet show storybook that featured Kermit, Scooter, Beauregard and Beaker (no Bunsen.)
I also never really quite liked it in "Muppet Babies" when Gonzo hit on...
Well, last I saw it was when I was a little kid, but I still recognized it then as a totally original concept for a movie, fantasy or otherwise. I should watch it again.
The thing about Fox is that they're always trying out new things. It's commendable for a TV network to do this. However, some of the stuff they air is real bad, so they do away with it quick so they don't lose money. Strangely though, some of their worst programs, like "THat 70s Show" have been...
Dang, I really thought people liked that show. Not that it deserved to be liked, but something's attracting millions of people to the likes of Tom Green and Jimmy Kimmel.
Well I'm pretty sure it's been done, but I'd like to here "I only have eyes for you." Especially if it's sung by Pepe. EspeciallyEspecially if it's sung by Pepe to another female prawn or even a beautiful human woman.
I think maybe a song that hasn't been done is "I'm in the mood for love"...
