I still can't believe anyone's complaining about not having to spend twice the money on these things.
It's not like The Muppet Movie Blu-Ray had any exquisite features, and I doubt they'd bother to add extra to either of these no matter what format it's on.
I'm far more annoyed by...
That AND not all the Twoheaded Monster skits were sounding out words. Personally, I'm just glad they're still using this great character(s) instead of dumping them in the pile of forgotten fan favorites. It's still the same great Two Headed Monster humor, no matter what they do with it...
I'll admit, it is strange they're releasing them that way instead of a TMM/GMC and MCC/MTI pack, but it's just easier if they got those two out that way.
I agree. I don't see why that's not the take home. You don't really need to get these if you have them on DVD and don't want the upgrade...
Quoted for truth.
Between this and Scooter singing some Maroon 5 bit, we're going down the slippery slope of annoyingly unpleasable, impossible jerkish fanbase. We don't want to be Sonic or Transformers fans that complain about eye colors and flames painted on.
As for the covers... get over...
Except, you must realize how delightfully low cost it's going to be. I've seen these Disney Double sets before, and they're a fairly good price. Cheaper than buying them both if they released them separately. Unfortunately, they don't tend to have much for special features that the regular...
They seem to really hate "You can clean almost anything" as even in the iTunes version of an episode that had it replaces it.
Something tells me that if the episode with Crack Master were to pop up, they just might have altered it.
Dated is probably half the catalog from The Muppet Show.
I don't see why anyone has a problem with the Muppets doing a semi-current song when half the guests on TMS are virtually forgotten. And it's not like the other movies are truly timeless either. Well... maybe MCC and MTI, but that's...
Another Rechov Sumsum clip that answers a question I was going to ask. Apparently, they did have some Owe Gustafson animations in other Sesame Street Co-Productions (it comes at the very end) which gets us...
That's right. A dub OF a dub.
Ah, but that's the thing. He is a kid. The difference being that an adult has more education, and therefore can look like an idiot. Here, he's a kid that made a mistake. One that cost him as badly as if he wrote "Suck it Trebek." I can understand why it's frustrating to almost win...
Let's not forget the wacky sexcapades in that film. Would you believe there's actually a porno ripoff of that movie? Probably goes a little further.
I also noticed Space Balls got a PG rating on home video, considering the "We Ain't Found XXXX" and "XXXX! Even in the Future, nothing works!"
As for me, I think LTS and VMX were the best Post-Henson Muppet projects until The Muppets came along. Not that I don't see the obvious problems with them.
VMX is very much a product of early 00's humor. It has a pacing of an early Family Guy episode, with cutscenes and the same sort of rapid...
I think Treasure Island is a complete improvement over MCC. I do like MCC, but it seems the Muppet part of that is mostly window dressing. I really like Gonzo and Rizzo as narrators (though the guy who wrote the comic book Muppet Snow White did an even better job), and Kermit and Piggy's...
In the case of most of these Mockbusters, they completely change the plot of the film, leaving just the concepts stolen. Mainly due to the fact that these things have to be rushed out before the film comes out, and there's no way for them to get a complete run down to steal. Ratatoing is about...
If it comes down to rights, nothing can be done about it.
On the original subject of the thread, looks like Planes has a crappy ripoff film
As one of the comments said "A rip-off of a spin-off of Pixar's second worst movie.
Well then."
Edit again... Rob Schneider's in it. It seems they...
There are Beatles songs that really shouldn't be included in commercials. In My Life is one of them, and I swear it's been used before. I also swear there's one that used Imagine form something disgusting. Thankfully that's been pulled.
While I'm not a huge Elvis fan, I find the Viva Viagra...
Something tells me there's a reason for that, and maybe that's a reason why this segment is lost. Wouldn't it be just awful if they released this episode on some platform, and that segment wasn't on it for that reason?
I swear that smoking in a movie now gives you a hard R.
The Smurfs 2 had a disclaimer about how they didn't accept any payola from big tobacco for whatever smoking occurred in the film... which was none.
The fact that Scooter has a number to himself (with the penguins, anyway) made my day. Hopefully Rowlf has a much bigger and better scene than the last film (which was still his biggest Muppet project appearance in years) as well. So far, this movie is completely mopping the floor up with its...
