And his new Anti-Obama thing proves he's racist too. Not for being anti-Obama, clearly... but that nonsense about the underprivileged urban youth being his SS. Like I said, if you're a writer that has a political slant you'll start coming up with fictional conspiracy theories in your...

ANYONE can find anything anywhere if they choose to look for it. I've said a million times before, I'd rather there be stronger efforts to curb real violence than to stop making violent movies. Guess which one gets more effort and attention? The easy to solve problem, yelling at Hollywood...

CBR: The Line is Drawn: Muppet Edition

Just figured you guys might wanna see this... http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2013/08/16/the-line-it-is-drawn-152-muppet-superhero-mash-ups/ Not the first time they did Muppets, hopefully not the last.

I find that hillarious. The full story on Iron Man was that Stan Lee and the rest (presumably Steve Ditko... I don't know if Jack Kirby was involved... I need to look that up) created Iron Man to troll Hippies and give them a character that they'd have no choice but to like. Tolkien had the...

    Upcoming 2013/2014 Disney Movies

Wondering where you're getting the info on Planes being DTV. It does seem like an obvious inevitability since the August dump date of the first one isn't doing the film any favors. And like I said, that same August date for a big budget film like Guardians of the Galaxy doesn't sound good...

I see what you mean. But then of course, let's not forget the power of the dollar. No matter what, money from this movie is going to Card, and I'm sure (just like with Chik-fil-A) that he could foreseeably donate a large chunk of that to some anti-gay cause. Not to mention this sends the...

    Upcoming 2013/2014 Disney Movies

I still don't buy this "2 hours of nonstop punching." Technically, it was less than a third of the movie was like that, and the rest was all character and setting establishment. I don't see it having more or less fighting than a comic book movie should have, and there was a good balance...

Video: Muppets Most Wanted Official Teaser Trailer On-line

That's the thing about GMC. That Piggy and Gonzo are my favorite versions of the characters. They really need to go back and look at how Gonzo looked up until the 2011 movie and work on that for the next film/major project. If anything, fix the eyes. But I still like that one over the first...

    The future of Sesame Street

The "Elmo's Street" bit happened well over a decade ago. They've been better at sharing characters. Big Bird, unfortunately, doesn't appear as much as he used to. It looks like an availability problem. They need to shoot more Big Bird inserts when Carol comes in to shoot an episode. I think...

    Upcoming 2013/2014 Disney Movies

That was the fault of editing. Of course, would anyone want to sit through another 10 minutes just to establish one character? Bigger characters, bigger celebrities, and more major scenes that would fix a movie's plot holes have been cut from scripts before. Still, MOS established the...

I'd chalk it up to hollow Hollywood activism, but he does seem genuinely shaken by the Sandy Hook event. He was okay with the movie and his role up until that point (it was filmed way before, in case anyone wants to know). He released a scathing Funny or Die segment that makes this seem a...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Dude... you said "irregardless." :sigh: But there's a difference between free speech and hate speech. There's a lot of right wing celebrities that really hate the president (example: Kelsey Grammer set up a terrible right wing channel no one watched just because he thought Obama was a...

What is your least favorite Muppet Movie?

The newer string puppeteers seemed like they had a good time. Certainly Bill was having a ball opposite Jeffery Tambor. But there were a LOT of problems with the film. They went through so many script changes and 2 directors. I don't see why Brian didn't step in. There was just a complete...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Card is a complete A1 far right paranoid, schizophrenic psychopath who stopped writing sci-fi and started writing something even more hateful, ignorant, imbecilic, and incoherent than a Youtube comment. End of story. His comments make the Tea Party's craziest members seem reasonable...

Video: Muppets Most Wanted Official Teaser Trailer On-line

I was referring to how the Muppets have traditionally treated famous songs. They usually manage to add something to the performance. That only added annoying commentary, leading to line/quip/line/quip repetitiveness. Wipe Out's pretty good though... even though it sounds like Animal is... if I...

What sketches scared you as a kid?

I wasn't one who was frightened by that. I was more annoyed by it. That music was incredibly annoying.

    So... Sesame Street Season 44!

There's something to be said about budget and availability. It's obvious that they can't have so many actors or even extras on most episodes. There will always be that one episode with a huge crowd, but for the most part, the street is devoid of life. You get a lot more episodes with one or...

    TV Tropes

I knew there was another Hey Arnold example. I was thinking of the one where Harold tried to get suspended, and when he did, he was so board, he had to sneak back into school where he... well... hid in a dumpster and was covered by "STUPID CHEESE!!"

    COUNT TV FOOTAGE FOUND!

Trust me, you're not missing much unfortunately. The only new footage is Ernie and Bert as Sesame English type animations tap dancing while saying the number of the day. It's very much like the letter songs they put on Sesame Street. I'm surprised they didn't use that on Sesame Street, them...

Video: Muppets Most Wanted Official Teaser Trailer On-line

It really seems to be the former here... it's used almost ironically. But the WORST, and I have to agree with Toughpigs on this one, is Muppet Beach Party. The only thing Muppety about it was them making dumb comments inbetween lines of the song? At least they're not doing that.
