I think this is a great compromise for fans who wanted complete episodes and fans that just wanted clip compliations. I am under the impression the "pilot" they are referring to is the debut episode(the one where Gordon opens up the show with that little girl introducing her to Sesame Street)...
Did they ever show Bruno when he wasn't carrying around Oscar's trash can? I know that was his primary purpose on the show, but were there any episodes where he was shown just by himself?
Technically, I don't think Animal attacked her. He just kept trying to throw off her singing with his drumming, which annoyed Rita. When he persisted, Rita then came up from behind with the cymbals.
Also, earlier in the episode when Carol was getting frustrated over her song being interupted by the dance marathon, Kermit tries to calm her down saying, "Carol, I know things are kind of shaky around here..." and Carol responds, "SHAKY? SHAKY? I'll show you shaky!!!" and shakes him violently.
Don't forget Kermit got him back for all those slaps. When Grover was discussing the number 2, Kermit came up from behind and said "HEY GROVER BABBBBBYYYYY!!!!" and slapped him on the back. On the second segment, he did it again, but faked him out by pulling back at the last second and just...
Does anyone know what this DVD is going to be about? It's listed as being released the same time as the Old School set on Amazon. Is it some kind of documentary or something?
I'm pretty sure the line is "None of those sirens!". But I could be wrong.
It is one of my favorite E&B sketchs. I just crack up when Bert screams as the balloon explodes and the whole apartment shakes.
Actually, I'm surprised they've let it go on for this long. Completely understandable of course. I just hope those clips that are being removed will end up on the DVD later this fall.
Off the top of my head, the Hickory Dickory Dock one is one of my favorites. Especially with Kermit's reaction after the horse runs through the clock:
"Well there you have it folks, the horse has run up...ah make that through the clock, the clock has struck about 17. This is Kermit the...
As I recall, Fozzie was freaked out by all the weird acts on the show, so he said he was going to stay in the canteen with "these nice kids". The kids then bared their sharp teeth, cackling at Fozzie. They never really ganged up on him or anything like that. Fozzie then said to himself, "why...
Yeah, it was very cool. But it still creeps me out when I see them taking the Big Bird puppet off of Carrol Spinney. It just looks wrong for some reason.
One of my favorites was his playing piano for Piggy and Foo-Foo's dog act. The interaction between he and Piggy was great.
Piggy: Would everyone like to see Foo-Foo dance?
(complete silence from the audience)
Rowlf: It's unanimous!!!!
Also one of my favorite Vet's hospital sketches was...
That was great. And I loved the follow-up with Statler and Waldorf in the box laughing at the sketch, and Sam jumps up behind them and yells: "WILL YOU STOP THAT!!!" with Waldorf cowering down and saying "Why is everyone picking on us tonight?" (Piggy was harrassing them earlier not to applaud...
