Did Grover eventually stop slapping Kermit?

I know that during the early days Grover would often encounter Kermit by slapping him on the back and saying "Hey, Froggy babyyyyyy!!" However, did he eventually stop doing this?

I haven't seen too many Kermit and Grover sketches from after the 1970s, but in all of those team-ups, Grover didn't do this to Kermit. In fact, I don't have any memory of seeing sketches where Grover slaped Kermit on his back at all. Could this have been droped out of fear that this was a bad example?

Of course, this type of gag seems best for a lecture, and in the eighties it seems like Kermit did lectures with other characters, like Cookie Monster and Elmo, more frequently.

I've only seen Grover slap Kermit on the back once, and that was for his lecture on the difference between light and heavy.

I remember a lot of times Grover would run up and slap Kermit's back in the early 70's. I don't think they ceased this due to concerns of it being a bad example because in the late 70's and 80's Grover got even more physical with Kermit, like pushing him down to the ground so he could put teeth, ears, etc. on him.
Perhaps this was just forgotten about since it went well with the old brick wall scenes that were so common in the early years of SS. Kermit would be sitting up on the wall facing us (a prime position for Grover to go "Heyyyyyyyyy Froggy Babyyyyyyyy" WACK!). I always liked that one time when Kermit ducked and Grover gasped as he missed him. Grover said, "Froggy I was just going to give you a little tap!

I remember it! After Kermit ducked & Grover doubled over,Kermit said proudly,"Missed me!"
When Grover said that he was just going to give Kermit a little pat,Kermit said,"I'm well aware of your little pats,Grover."

I'm just posting here because that struck me as a very Kermit-like thing to say. I'd really like to see some of these skits. Are there any on youtube?

Don't forget Kermit got him back for all those slaps. When Grover was discussing the number 2, Kermit came up from behind and said "HEY GROVER BABBBBBYYYYY!!!!" and slapped him on the back. On the second segment, he did it again, but faked him out by pulling back at the last second and just said "How you doin?"

I believe those skits are on YouTube, or at least they were at one point.

I recall one such lecture sketch in which Grover slapped the "visual aid" instead of Kermit: "Hey, S babyyyyyyyy!" (The letter was NOT a Muppet character in that sketch, but the typical styrofoam consonant; what inspired Grover to slap it, I'll never know.)

Not to veer off subject, but didn't Gladys the Cow have some sketches with Kermit? What were they?
