Well suffice is to say no invented character duo could pull this off better than the frog and the pig. Imagine Mickey and Minnie, or Ash Ketchum and Misty, or Archie, Betty and Veronica, or Nic and Lisa-Marie........
Cliff's Nightmare....
Clifford: Yoyoyo Rizzo, I had the wildest dream.
Rizzo: Yeh, what's that?
Clifford: I dreamt I took over Kermit's job as emcee and I had to put on this show week after week with nothing but two annoying pigs and some poodle-hair guy.
Rizzo: Well I got news for...
If they jsut did a simple little tribute, that'd be fine with me. Seeing as how much they promoted 25 Years of the Muppet Show, in 3 years people will be prone to say, "What? Again? it hasn't been another 25 years...."
Personally, I think it's better this way. I mean, if they have a hard time giving lines to Rowlf, think of how hard it would be to give lines to a Jim Henson character hardly anyone remembers. (Yes, I know he was shared) and call me a kooky-cookie, but I really seem to like Howard, he'd make a...
Clifford has been a Mupets staple for a very long time, even after JHH was cancelled, Clifford sang songs on a couple of Muppet CDs and appeared in the Muppets Inside CD rom. The thing was though, this was a slightly different Clifford than appeared on Muppets Tonight. This Clifford was a...
As far back as the last eason of the Muppet Show Janice has had the uvula thing, and since TMTM she's had shorter hair in a ponytail. Her old hair kept flopping over her head.
There was a cast list posted at another site I'm gonna copy and paste it here. All the casting seems correct, but we're still nat sure about who played Janice.
Kermit : Steve Whitmire
Miss Piggy : Eric Jacobson
Fozzie Bear : Eric Jacobson
Gonzo the Great : Dave Goelz
Rizzo...
JHC is giving the fans what they want: More Scooter, Janice, Rowlf and Lew, no Andy and Randy, but we haven't said enough about Clifford or Dr. Phil to warrant their return, unfortunately.
To me Rowlf and Kermit represented two sides of Jim Henson. Kermit was Jim's humble reflective side, and...
Yeah, for once I actually see a glimmer of hope for David Arquette's career....
In the roles played by actors, probably Whoopi's was the best, but you know, it isn't the first time she's ever played God, or a godlike figure. Joan Cusack was way over the top, but then again alot of Muppet...
I don't think they said anything bad about God, they just dragged out a tired old metaphor about God being the boss and the angels being spineless paper pushers. I think Whoopi was very sweet in this role, after all she's played God before, and we as humans are not to say what he/she/it is...
Jerry Nelson. All the current Muppet Performers, save Kevin Clash, were in the movie. They mention the names of Whitmire, Goelz, Baretta, and Jacobson in the opening credits, and in the ending credits they add Brian Henson and Jerry Nelson.
I haven't seen Emmet Otter or Sesame Street, but here's my rank.
A Muppet Family Christmas
A Muppet Christmas Carol
A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie
The Christmas Toy
now, JHC, Let's move on to some other holidays, please?
I remember when Kermit runs into the theater elated he shouts something to Rowlf and Rowlf responds in a friendly mannerism that was his only line in the movie. Bill did the voice, but Rowlf was offscreen at the time.
I'm surprised of the Muppets they did use. Lew Zealand for example, and...
But as a christmas movie, MCC was awesome. It was a faithful adaptation of the book (It even had non-spoken lines tossed in) and it was very well put together and beautiful. I woula cried during certain scenes if Gonzo and Rizzo weren't there to oh-so-subtly break the tension.
To me it's the...
1. What is your gender? Male.
2. Do you consider yourself a Muppet fan? Yes.
3. Which is your favorite Muppet? Gonzo.
4. How many muppet movies do you own? 1 movie and 1 tv special.
5. Which is your favorite muppet baby? Beaker.
6. What do you like/dislike about the muppets? THey are a...
I worry about the exact same thing. There are new characters I couldn't possibly imagine having the same warm moments the older Muppets do. Heck, even Statler and Waldorf got soft every once in a while, but we aren't gonna see a kinder gentler Pepe, Van Neuter, or Sal (As much as I like Sal.)...
Mahna has a twin brother named Bip Boppadotta, who resides on Sesame Street. All I have to say is if Ernie and Lew are related in any way, Ernie must be the calm restrained member of THAT family......Geheheheheh......
