I would have to say I'm most like Walter, because, as CaseytheMuppet said, I too am obsessed with the Muppets, as well as many other Henson related projects. While I don't have much in the way of Muppets memorabilia (I just bought Palisade's Kermit bust on eBay and I'm bidding on the Fisher...
I saw The Muppets for the fifth time at the King of Prussia Imax this past Sunday, and let me tell you it was packed. I actually got there 15 min late, but thanks to long previews and the Toy Story short I didn't miss a second of the film. Unfortunately, I didn't have many seating options, so I...
I don't know who any of those people are, but I assume they all worked on the Muppet show? Seemed like most of them were British; I didn't realize it was filmed in England. Wish we would've gotten to see the actual Muppet performers as well.
Hmm... my fav "romantic" Muppet moment is from Muppets at Disney World where Gonzo sings "Love in a Laundromat" to Camilla. I loved that special as a kid, and the song was pretty good.
Thanks, I still want to get some Sir Didymus merch, but other than the scarce 1986 plush dolls there isn't any. Wish Plan B Toys would've made statues of the 4 main characters rather than background goblins.
Well I know recently there was a SLEW of graphic novel Muppet adaptations of classic stories released by BOOM! studios, such as Peter Pan, Snow White, Robin Hood, and King Arthur. According to the cover of Muppets Peter Pan, Scooter plays the role of John Darling, a role he also played in Muppet...
That could be cool, and certainly doable. Perhaps such a game could go more in depth as to how Kermit got the old gang back together; there could be a part where Walter, Fozzie, and Kermit must escape from the Moopets at Poochala Casinos, enraged that Fozzie is trying to leave.
Hello, I am a new member of the Muppet Central forum. To get straight to the point, I've been getting a barrage of emails saying "x replied to x thread" and so on, and would like to stop receiving such emails. I personally find them redundant, as I check these things myself when I'm on the...
I'm sure I'm not the only one who was wondering where JP Grosse was in all of this, since he was the theater's original owner. Of course, I don't think they brought him up in "It's a Very Merry Muppet's Christmas" either, so maybe they've phased him out completely?
As much as I loved "The...
My pics:
1)A Muppet Theater Backstage resin diorama, featuring Kermit and Scooter.
2) A Sir Didymus statue with him riding Ambrosius. Plan B ought to make a second line of Labyrinth statues that includes the 4 main heroes.
3) A Pigs in Space spaceship Hallmark ornament. This sounds like...
The day you get a Rugby Tiger plush will be the day I get a Sir Didymus plush; never. I mean, they made Sir Didymus plushes back in 1986, but nowadays they're scarce and go for no less than $500 on eBay:mad:. Would you pay $500 for a Rugby Tiger plush?
Seconded. I think Disney has made a conscious decision to bring Scooter back to the forefront recently, so I think it's likely we'll see more of him in 2012. I really want to get the Palisades Scooter Bust, but I can't get it any cheaper than $80 on eBay, so I have to choose between that or the...
True, he doesn't have anywhere near as much merchandise as Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, Piggy, or even some of the Muppets who didn't have as big a role on TMS but became popular later on, like Beaker. Perhaps the new movie will create renewed interest in the character of Scooter.
Yeah, I agree with the you, Drtooth, it rarely works to just try and do a repeat of the original. I really wish JHH would've last longer than 12 episodes. Like TMS, it seems to be written for both kids and adults to enjoy, while, in my opinion, Muppets Tonight felt like it was written more for...
Yeah, I remember that clip from when I was a kid, too, although I think I saw it separately as part of an environmental special. The episode is "Aquatic Life" and also featured Ted Danson fighting pirates on a cruise ship. The second house of the show is a fantasy teleplay by Jerry Juhl...
So, I knew what TJHH was when I was a kid, but I believe I only ever saw 1 episode, as my parents didn't record it like they did all the Muppet specials. I just started watching it over the last couple days, but so far I'm liking it. I love the format; a half-hour of Kermit and friends trying to...
Yeah, I enjoyed Barclay's intro episode, "Holo Pursuits." There was a bit too much Trek techno-babble near the end, but it was interesting how they explored what it's like to be addicted to the holodeck.
I always figured Jim Henson and Dudley Moore were friends; beyond hosting a season 4 episode of TMS, Moore also appeared in "The Muppets go to the Movies" special and "Miss Piggy's Hollywood" from episode 105 0f The Jim Henson Hour.
