To date, I've seen the film 6x in theaters thus far. I just saw it for the 6th time yesterday with my dad, my sister, and my niece, it was my niece's 1st movie (in a theater), and she seemed to enjoy it, she loves the Muppets. My favorite scene is the "We Built This City on Rock and Rock" cover...
Yes, I enjoyed the movie overall. Great comparison w/ LT: Back in Action. I agree, The Muppets could've been that, but it wasn't. My gosh, just thinking about Loonatics hurts my soul:sigh:. I still loves me some classic Daffy Duck cartoons, and his dueling pianos scene in Who Framed Roger Rabbit...
I think getting rid of Gary & Mary would have created ample time for all of these things to be explained. I feel Walter was essential in serving as a catalyst for getting the Muppets back together, but scrapping the whole Gary/ Mary/ Smalltown subplot would have allowed for a lot more to be...
I was just thinking, what if Disney expanded on their line of Muppet Star Wars merch? Here's my pics-
Rowlf as Lando- Calm and collected just like Lando. Lando played a crucial role in SW ep. 5&6, and one of the oldest and most beloved Muppets deserves no less than to play a fan favorite SW...
I have a vague memory of a dream from a few nights ago where in one part I saw a Scooter beanie plush. Also, I remember a part of a dream I had a while back with Gonzo covering "Dancing with Myself," obviously inspired by the selfsame skit from Muppets Tonight.
My main beef with MCC in a nutshell is that the Muppets take a backseat to the story, with only Gonzo, Rizzo, and Kermit having anything approaching a major role, while in MTI every major Muppet is given a good role, and even Sam the Eagle plays a major part, something he's never before had in a...
Hmm... the first thing I feel when I hear news like this is the urge to hurt something:crazy:. Of course, I could never hurt animals, especially such helpless little creatures as chipmunks, so it looks like Dave's in the for beatdown of a lifetime:mad:.
Yeah, don't know why critics liked MCC so much more than MTI; MTI was much more original in my opinion. I loved the pirate Muppets like Mad Monty and Clueless Morgan, and I especially loved the running gag around the trio of Old Tom, Real Old Tom, and Dead Tom:crazy:.
Yeah, I agree, MTI has the Muppets being themselves, even while playing roles from classic literature, while to me MCC was just CC with Muppets thrown in. MTI has a lot more of the Muppet's brand of humor fans love. On a side note, I would love to see a Muppets Halloween special, although I...
Thanks for the info, Kermieuk. The eBay page for the item says he has another one available, maybe I could just exchange it, but after this it's hard to know if I can trust the quality of what he's selling. I haven't yet heard back from him, but I've learned from my brother's experiences on eBay...
So I just today got Sideshow's Kermit the Frog 25th Anniversary bust. I paid about $120 for it on eBay. I took it out of the box, and immediately noticed the semicircle in the first "P" of the word "Muppets" inscribed on the base is chipped. Now, the photo shown in the eBay page shows no such...
I think confidence is a key reason why you never see Fozzy in a relationship. I mean, comparing Fozzy and Gonzo, they both go on stage and make absolute fools of themselves every show, but Gonzo has self-confidence in spades, while Fozzy has almost no self-confidence, making him an easy target...
Yeah, Drtooth, my local TRU really loaded up on Arthur Christmas stuff and I don't think it's selling, although according to Rottentomatoes AC now has a lead on The Muppets. Then again, Muppets trampled Arthur Christmas and Hugo on their shared opening week, so I don't think that matters much now.
As a comic book fan, and former Green Lantern fan, it hurts my soul to be reminded of the Apocalyptic disaster that was the GL film:(. I think it hurt the character in the same way the Jonah Hex film hurt the character of the same name, which is to say, badly.
Anyway, yeah, I really hope The...
That's the new Sesame St. game, right? I saw a trailer and it looked pretty cool. Of course, I'd hope a similarly themed Muppets VG would be made with both kids and adults in mind, as the shows and films often are, b/c educational games are boring for adults:p, and I'm sure plenty of adults as...
Whoever's in charge of making Muppet VG's hasn't done a great job so far, no offense, so I think they should put us in charge, as we seem to have much better ideas. I mean, it's unbelievable how badly they've dropped the ball thus far, and with some things (e.g. many of the current...
