I keep thinking of going to a great restaurant, having a huge delicious meal, then finding out that the desert menu is pretty much cookies and a rather dry-looking bit of chocolate cake.
While I would be the last one to say bad things about cookies and cake, they just don't cut it when you've...
Nothing
I see no flash navigation at the top... Using Mozilla 1.4, aka Netscape....
This happened last time you guys rearranged stuff. Might want to do a little more cross-browser checking...

More Rowlf would be good, but Toto is the wrong role for him... :sympathy:
I mean, Toto was a yippy little dog, Rowlf is a big mellow guy with a dry wit.
Small and yippy? Sounds like Pepe to me...
Plus the Prawn/Dog jokes coulld be fun... See other thread for Zack's suggestion...
That might make the whole movie worth it...
Would have been better if it were Gonzo in the old days:
"I'll get you, my pretty and your little... uh... well... whatever!"
OK, maybe not...

OK, it's not "on TV" as the Forum would suggest, but the Muppet Christmas Carol is playing at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA on at 2:00 PM December 20th (This Saturday)!
If anyone lives in the Philadelphia area or just west, it's well worth the trip. It's an old theatre beautifully...
No go...
Well, things fell through for the trip to New York today. Will try again in Early January... I'll definitely post photos if I get there.

I'm going to be in NYC tomorrow on a whim, and it will probably be my last time before moving to the west coast. I was therefore going to try to make it to 117 East 69th and poke around the lobby before it is sold.
I read about Quinn's amazing trip, but am wondering if anyone else has had good...
Anyone?
Phillip gave it honorable mention in the year's supply of muppet stuff, but I haven't heard a word about it. Any actually seen/played it?

Actually, I'm not a completist, so I think that individually wraping figures will be the way to go for me. I think I will go with tissue paper, paper towels or something. Just gotta make sure they're in there tight so they don't rattle around too much.
Though if someone finds a special...
I'm going to be moving across the country in the not too distant future... Any thoughts on packing loose figures?
I was thinking of just wrapping them in tissue paper and piling them in a box, but a lot of the paint rubs off rather easily, so I'm not too sure... As a kid, my friend had a big...
Just wondering if people are into any sort of digital Trading? That is to say, I've got DivX ;-) files of the entire first season of the Muppet Show - most with the original opening sequence on them... They take up a bout 6 GB... I have them burned as a pair of DVD-ROM discs.
I'd love to...
For some reason, I love it when Kermit gets referred to as "the lizard" by Fozzie's mom. She's probably the only one in the world who doesn't recognize him as a Frog (except of course for the girl in GMC "Look daddy, A Bear" "No honey that's a frog - bears wear hats" - Another favorite bit of...
Over ont eh Palisades board Ken has said that he's really upset - the Piggy Hair color for the PIS set is way too dark... I know they fought hard to get Henson to allow a non-yellow-haired Piggy. I hope this doesn't hurt their ability to make those kind of changes... :(

Whoah.
Somehow the idea of Scooter the User fit very comfortably in my mind, but I never really realized why - somehow, in decades of watching those movies over and over and over again, the fact that Scooter was an usher/pop-corn vendor three times never really hit my conscious...

Nice to see the Muppets getting dedicated displays and whatnot. Lots of great merchandise out there for it...
But...
Anyone remember high school biology disecting frogs that had been in formaldahyde and lost all color?
- Derek
Articulation doesn't really matter to me, and I don't really care what scale they are in - What I would want to see is more accurate likeness to the puppets.
I know it was a conscious decision to go "stylized" but my opinion is that we've had to compromise on likeness in decade after decade...
Best Buy
Looks like Best Buy is carrying it online, but not in their stores:

But it looks like they are offering free shipping!

Most of the article is interesting and points out how ridiculously self-centered Americans have become when they assume that sharing, being nice, etc. are purely American values...
It's also interesting (and disturbing) to note the State Department is trying to quell Anti-American sentiments...
