Well you know when it used to look like a real inner city, they were able to talk about littering and not to do it. Now it doesn't make as much sense to do so.
You can't blame Forgetful for being confused. I mean wouldn't you be if someone was basically asking you, "Do you see that '80s video-generated floating word graphic?" Hehe
I swear if anyone else did this sketch I would dismiss it as kinda too silly. But with Richard, and I'm being completely...
Oh I love when teachers have cool posters like that! Like that one of Jim Henson from Apple that's always around, the one that says "Think Different."
If I had my way, I'd have a Richard poster of course hehe. I wonder what it would say. Any thoughts?
I was like that as a kid, I didn't understand some of the stuff I watched but somehow I still loved it, and in a way that encouraged my imagination. Maybe that's why some experts say it's better for very young kids to watch grown up shows rather than overly flashy kids shows.
I know what you mean! As Richard Hunt once described about the Muppets: "They were always there." There are so many familiar sketches that I just can't recall where I first saw them.
That's really great! I always say the idea that kids today don't appreciate the classic stuff is a myth and oversimplification. And you're right, it's great when kids see unfamilar things and are encouraged to ask questions. :)
I can see, it's a miracle! :halo:
Wow I really felt Forgetful's pain this one, lol! Personally I wouldn't have just left him there, hehe. Still, the Cosby kids were so cool back then!
This site's video content is awesome. The site freezes sometimes, they need to work on that, hehe, but...
Right exactly, so I'm just saying don't let this very common occurence make you depressed or feel as though you won't have character to build until you get a job. Just keep trying. There will always be problems in life, even after you get a job. And it's not what happens in life, it's how you...
I remember seeing Bernie's cameo when Jim was inducted into The TV Hall of Fame. He was in his office (filled with Muppet merchandise lol):
"There's a frog on the phone for you."
Bernie: "Which frog?...Oh Kermit the frog!" Lol
I don't normally post here, but that is an interesting question! About wearing black, is it possible that would actually attract attention because it's not typical dress? I could be totally wrong, lol, just curious to hear opinions. :)
Ack, looks like I'd have to download a new Flash player. It's bringing me to an error page on the site. But I know which scenes you mean. Tanks for sharing, I'm so happy about that! I remember reading this part of Richard's memorial article:
"Richard's work will continue to live on in...
Ah here it is!

Q: How do you feel about the direction "Sesame Street" has gone in, from the early days when you and Jim Henson worked on it?
A: It's just become a kids show, instead of a hip show. I've told them...
Well I think it was just that he was a singer and maybe hadn't done as much acting. He was also with the Muppets on The Tonight Show and he did a great job just being himself. :)
Idk, I just love his Muppet verison of "When I Need You." Hehe!
No offence intended, but I have to disagree. There are a lot of problems in the world but offering kids a valuable opportunity that a lot of other people will never have isn't one of them, in my opinion. :)
It's true that there are alternatives to college and that's fine. But if you don't go...
I understand, but honestly, I don't agree about hiding the footage of kids playing at a construction site. Like it or not, we still have problems in society and hiding them because it's not pleasant will not improve anything. There are kids who aren't able to hide from such a reality. So why...
