    What's your favorite letter segment?

My favorites: -"Let's Sing A Song About J" -"The P song" (where 3 guys sing about their favorite P animals, food, and friends - "La La La La...Lemon" - Ernie & Bert - "M is for Martha" - "Wanda the Witch" - "Nancy the Nannygoat" -"A-Ape" where the ape sings Tip Toe Through The Tuelips...

    Am I Nuts???

I have to know this: How many people here are male 30 year olds or older (or slightly younger)? My parents think I'm crazy collecting old SS tapes and talking about it in the message boards. I said to them there are lots of people who love the muppets/SS that are my age. Especially the...

Grover, The Count and Hot Dogs

Yeah, I have the Count w/ Ernie & Bert with the blocks. He zoned them out. I found that his laugh was more sinister/evil sounding back then too. Then he'd enter/exit the scene with his face buried in his cape.

What sketches scared you as a kid?

This skit I was scared of the most: Ernie & Bert were at the movies. The premise is Ernie responding to the movie in different emotions (1st it is a scary movie, then a sad movie, then it ends as a happy movie). Now the premise was not what scared me. It was Guy Smiley sitting behind...

Painter Films - What does he paint for each?

Where does the painter paint the numbers on each film? I got the following so far: 2- on a sail(boat) 4 - umbrella 7 - Elevator 9 - street 8 - bald man's head in the pool Wasn't there one where he was in a doctor's office? And wasn't there one where he paints on a ball that belonged...

    Guy Smiley - Scary looking???

It's funny now though regarding GS, when I see him, he's funny!! There's been 1 or 2 game shows (maybe even more) that when he come out from behind the curtin, he somehow gets stuck in the curtin and he's talking so enthusiasticly "Welcome to the .... show, this is Guy Smiley". There's one...

Favorite celebrity appearances on "Sesame Street"...

Stevie Wonder in '72 or '73 doing 1,2,3..Sesame Street, fooling around with Grover, and an extra long version of Superstition. Awesome! Love the part in Superstition where the girl with dark hair is headbanging at the top of the stairs in the SS yard.

Grover, The Count and Hot Dogs

Wasn't there a sketch that had Grover (as a waiter), The Count (as a customer), and a bunch of Hot Dogs? I remember a part where it was going in fast motion with all these hot dogs. Anyone remember the premise of this sketch?

    Guy Smiley - Scary looking???

So, Prince Charming is in the movie theater scene with Guy Smiley's clothes on? BTW, his voice in the movie theater doesn't sound like either JH or FO. Sounds like Richard Hunt. BTW, have you noticed in that movie scene w/ Ernie, Bert & Guy Smiley/Prince Charming, that the guy with the...

    Guy Smiley - Scary looking???

I don't know why, but Guy Smiley always freaked me out. I was afraid of him almost always. Especially in the sketch where he was in the movie theater with Ernie & Bert and says "Do You Mind!??" in a different tone than when he was on his game shows. Another place where he scared me as a kid...

    Looking for another sketch...

It was a real life stetch. Here's the scenario > A boss asks his detective worker to look for the number 10 (or maybe 20) at the beginning. The detective looks at the cardboard with the number on it. He then goes out of the office on the hunt for 20. He goes to look at the door...

    Subway song skit...

I'm looking for a song called "Subway" sung by Muppet characters (including Kermit and Bert) while riding on a subway. Was in on any of the SSUnpaved episodes? Also, anyone have the words to this song?
