Bear arrives on Disney+ The beloved series has been off the air for the past 15 years. Now all four seasons are finally available for a whole new generation.
From listening to Craig Shemin on Muppetcast it kinda seems like he isn't the greatest fan of Angelo, and especially not the accent - but he gives the reasons for them wanting him. I kinda get the reasons, Fozzie or Kermit would never have been able to do much with the food, and it does have a...
Do Henson have another option though? Would they go elsewhere? My concern is if Weinsteins couldn't make it happen or if they found the interest just wasn't there then would anybody?
If of course, thats the problem and it wasn't just internal Weinstein stuff.
:smirk:
I would loveeeeeeeee Action Figures or PVC's.
I also have love for Norman. Yeah he just brings and beeps and wheeee's but he's crazy, random and looks so cool.
**** today at the episode this morning when Haggis had "human dad thingy persons" phone and asked "Whats Delety All?" haha
I agree, the actual Classic Muppety content is absolutely fantastic. Seeing the rats in the background and the penguins.
The only problem for me is just the main character which seems to detract from the effect and craziness they are trying to create in the first place. If others don't see...
Thats a fantastic header, love it. Absolutely loving the Mindset. It's a great time to be a Muppet fan, yay!
Edit - It's probably a blessing Jim isn't around to see his beloved characters as "sexy" Halloween costumes, what were they thinking! Probably not thinking anything, just...
Yeah i think Tyler's not doin a bad job for the position he's in. The argument about new characters is debatable. Surely now is not a time to experiment, its a time to establish the Muppet family with a new audience and having anyone other than Kermit "lead" could confuse things, but i'm sure...
.. as main characters though?
It's just an ugly puppet - horrible colour that looks bad on camera, very basic design for a main player, skin is more yellow than Swedish Chef so the live hands look more noticeable. You put it next to the beautifully defined classic Muppets with their strong...
I really like the new ones, the writings much tighter, Cat seems to have gotten more into it and its a great way to introduce viewers to the wider Muppet family.
My only gripe is still Angelo. Ugly puppet, unlikeable bland character, and hate the live hands on him (at least with Swedish Chef...
Excellent video, i laughed myself silly at the impressions. Not sure i get the Silly Bandz concept, and not sure anyone actually does, but i really liked Sam The Eagle.
Great work Ryan and Muppet Mindset crew!
I've got a feeling it will never be made with Weinstein and Henson will go back and re-develop it with someone they more traditionally co-produce with. Too many people involved in this who claim to "get" the Fraggles, but really see it as just another pop culture brand. I can see the roads...
Hi Danny
Yes of course, come back to me anytime.
I love Haggis too, have always enjoyed Don Austen characters. I'm loving Fiend too, great personality. I hope in time there is some merchanside.
Fiend - Heath McIvor and Alice Osborne
Haggis - Don Austen and Sean Masterson
Norman - Mathew Mcoy and Fiona Gentle
Puppets built by Niki Lyons, Jamie Campbell and Dan Carlilse at Henson
Muppety people producing are Pete Coogan & Martin G Baker (who have now formed Baker Coogan...
Hi, i will try my best to get all episodes but i missed today and yesterdays. I'm sure it will all be repeated though seeing as they are doing a daily run of the first series (in incorrect order it seems).
I really love the show. Produced by ex-Henson people, lovely puppets made by Henson...
I hopefully should be attending Brand Licensing. With Muppet Show even being included as an option for revival, i would guess that a big part of Disney's focus at the show will be The Muppets, and TV as well as the film.
I think it kinda does, the way the Muppets are marketed now and the way they have had their roles within the Muppet "group" so clearly defined over many many years i think its a bit late to start changing things. Especially as Disney's whole angle is bringing back the "classic" Muppets, how...
I don't really agree there, the kids are just being introduced to the Muppets. If Angelo really did become popular (ok, hypothetical talk lol) and kids became to know him as the Muppets "Chef", and the market they were most trying to target were kids ... well, they'd have no choice but to keep...
