You know what I'm really sick of?
Well below average cold. We've had it since freaking November, and the freaking polar vortex crap is still hanging around. We've had 3 days of at or slightly above normal temperatures after a 2 week streak of cold, and now we're looking at another 2 week...
I have the strangest feeling this street story was produced with the intention of dubbing it for international consumption (Germany especially). Probably why it was in the park and why there were no street humans in it. Not that they needed to be.
I just wish they'd show more of that foreign...
Actually... no... quite the opposite, actually. We're routinely treated to far more backstory and dramatic origins than we ever have been. Even in sitcoms. People want to know why characters act the way they do, and piece things together if they're given enough clues. Problem is, you kinda...
If it was supposed to energize their base, it might just work, but it also manages to make the Republicans look exactly like the very same outrageous strawmen parody figures that they complain about the left painting them as. I really want to see more moderate conservatives revolt against the...
Feh. No one says Good Morning like
Seriously, though... The surviving Boston Marathon Bomber being on the cover of the magazine is news. At the moment pop star, not so much. The only news is that they didn't do this at the height of his popularity instead of the denouement of his downfall.
Now that explains it. Even then, he just wasn't as hot as he was before. But now, everyone hates him. And even hating him is out of style and pointless. He's over, hating him is over... there's nothing to worry about. Even NBC isn't desperate enough to have him star in a sitcom. That's...
This truly was an epic episode worth the wait. Classic Ernie and Bert format (Ernie goads a reluctant Bert into doing something and Bert gets too into it as soon as Ernie's moved on)... just all around a fun episode to start to close the season off with. Much better than that mid-season slump...
They do indeed. It's just that Disney doesn't seem to care much for their own 1980's and 90's cartoons either. Though we did get Ducktales Remastered and a series of Darkwing Duck comics. I even managed to get a Gizmoduck shirt. It was a gift and I was completely unaware of it's existence...
Well, that's the thing with The Simpsons. They only care about continuity as long as it doesn't get in the way of the jokes or the plot. They keep going back and forth on their wedding. Either they had a normal one, or they stick to the story that they were married at a quick marriage chapel...
I got to say, I'm glad that it was vetoed, but not entirely happy on the grounds why.
'Member how I said that even big right wing figures were against this bill? Not because it paints their party as backwards, religious zealot, fearful, hateful, and completely out of touch (which it does)...
And here I am thinking that the anti-Gay "Religious Freedom" legislation passed.
No one likes Beiber anymore. His 15 minutes are over, and if he had a sitcom, it would go the way of Emerel. Canned quickly with no fans mourning it's loss.
That actually makes more sense than just not keeping him around as a villain.
But then again, that depends on what the heck they plan to do with the characters after this movie. Constantine is a choice character if they were to continue making internet exclusive content. He'd be a fun...
Wow. You gotta love those Tea Party types. They hate big government but have no problem letting big government protect them from the gays. And corporate Welfare. They love them some corporate welfare.
Seriously, you have to admire the lengths they go to whine about how they're being painted...
That's a relief. I was worried you'd get some sort of brain aneurism from all that Animal. :electric:
I have to admit, it would be nice if we saw them use that Baby Animal again somewhere.
Here's an update to make you laugh. Seems this legislation is so bad that Mitt Romney and John McCain are pressuring Jan to veto it.
That's right. Even Republicans find this legislation too far right and too insane.
The concept of Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny among others being bad**s warriors somehow seemed ridiculous. Mainly to those who didn't bother actually seeing the movie. Plus, Christmas movies (due to the poor marketing, it was labeled as this) haven't been all that successful recently. Not...
Actually, I have to take what I said back a little... it looks like they're still assessing making a GB3, now without Murray or Ramis. They insist that his involvement was minimal anyway. I still don't think the project will go anywhere, and I'm very mixed on it if it does.
You'd have to get a Photobucket account or something and upload it there. That's what I do.
I was at a Disney store, actually... and I got to admit, the ones they had in stock looked a lot better than the last time. That was a mess. All because of eye and nose placement, they all tended to...
The only real flops Dreamworks has had recently were Legend of the Guardians (confusing concept based on a none too well known kid's book, marketed as a Christmas movie) and Turbo (idiotic concept). They had series that were mild successed that just weren't successful enough, and you never hear...
I'll third that.
Though I must say, I liked what Roger Langridge did with the Muppet Show format. Bigger back stage plots devoted to character, rather than guest star, and moving that action and plot to outside the theater whenever possible. Not to mention the concept of connected story...
