Let's not forget Elf. At least people like that one. It was like the last Christmas movie to actually make money.
But LT: BIA's failure killed the Looney Tunes franchise (ignoring the completely awesome Duck Dodgers series), leading to the TV series of Baby Looney Tunes (derivative) and the...
I don't wanna go back on that one, but it was an inferior example of a type of movie Muppet fans only forgave because Jerry Juhl wrote them. MCC and MTI were vastly superior classic retellings, MWOz was loud, dark, and depressing throughout.
Any Roger Rabbit sequel will also be imaginary. There's no way we're ever going to get that film no matter how close they think they can get. If they absolutely needed to, I'd say go to the actual book sequel (which was written as a direct sequel to the movie) or better yet, take the script of...
I'd be more surprised if it isn't. There is no call or reason to make this film, and there have been multiple Looney Tunes based projects that never got off the ground. I don't think this one would be any different.
But it has been debunked. It's probably a circulating rumor that circulated...
I'll admit, the pirates were pretty good, and I only saw number four because of the Simpsons cartoon. But I agree completely. The sub-plot about Manny's daughter was crap. There is no reason why we need a fifth one, I don't care how much money they make... they need to just cut it the heck...
As excited as I am about the movie, I'm actually much more excited about that short. If nothing else, I'd love to see a series of short Dreamworks owned Classic Media owned cartoons before every one of their movies. That's obviously not going to happen, though.
Honestly, that...doesn't really sound too good. It seems like a collection of 6 minute long CN ID's from the 90's as a TV show. I don't think the die hard LT fans would like that any better. Of course, they automatically hate anything that isn't from the 1950's, anyway. Can't really blame...
I still can't believe how many people fell for that one. Don't worry, there isn't. And remember, we were supposed to have a live action Marvin the Martian and a live action Bugs Bunny movie by now. Those are 2 more movies we'll never see. Though the Marvin one did go to the test footage...
And of course, Brock Samson from Venture Bros. The least incompetent character Pat ever played.
Have I mentioned that I love Venture bros yet?
Anyway, after watching several trailers, I give Ty nothing but credit for actually attempting the Mr. Peabody voice. I really love how he managed...
There was an episode this very season. Pretty recent. But really, that skit is culturally irrelevant now. Disney no longer forces that stuff down everyone's throats.
And it ran in an episode where they also reran the "Looking for Big" segment. The second SATC movie kinda made that reference...
I hate to be that guy, but the Sam and Friends characters are completely out of Disney's jurisdiction. I think Henson legacy owns them. Unless they were willing to lend their likenesses out for the film, which I doubt.
If they had to get Henson's permission to use characters, though, I'd...
The scary thing is how that rumor spread like it was officially a thing. Even worse is that anyone believed it would happen period.
Sure, it would be a nice little boost to the Looney Tunes characters if it were to happen, but there is no way that they'd bother with a sequel to something that...
That does strike me as odd. Beaker's the clear favorite and all. But I'm actually quite happy that Gonzo's with his old girlfriend and we have a Rowlf tube.
A Rowlf tube of Yogurt. Rowlf is back. I'm so getting these not really that healthy sugary Yogurt things and washing out the tubes...
I really liked the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie. I've spoke my piece about the one thing that ruined it's potential (studio heads love to screw up these things to get girls to want to see them), but they did the research, they got the characters down pat, and they even made obscure references to...
I'll give Cars this. It was a successful film that sold out it's entire product line within weeks. I don't doubt for a moment that it's worthy of being one of Disney's big brands. But I just don't feel that with Planes. I don't see kids carrying around Dusty plush toys or wearing that...
From what I understand, the humor and characterization of the recent comics series is essentially what you'll get in the film. And there's nothing to worry about on that front.
I have not experienced absent minded Peabody in the comics or any of the previews. he's still his old, incredibly...
I took a close look at the figure set today, and this is interesting...
While they do indeed have the same 4 Gonzo, Kermit, Fozzie, and Animal figures, Gonzo and Kermit have figure stands (meaning Kermit can probably actually stand up now) and Animal has a bigger stand.
So they're technically...
My complaint with Planes is thus: It was barely a modest win if anything, and they're forcing the franchise down the throats like it was a win. The franchise was mainly a DTV boy's answer to the girl's Tinkerbell films. It's theatrical stay was no more than a last minute run that was going to...
