Ellen was just about the only thing interesting last night. The pizza gag was inspired. You have to admit that. Too bad none of the rest of the show was funny at all. The montages were kinda... meh. I'm glad that they at least performed the Oscar nom songs, and the tribute was nice. I...
Brave won a pity Oscar. There was a lot of backstage drama that kicked the original writer off the film (and I'm very disheartened to hear that the same crap is going down with The Good Dinosaur). The award should have gone to any other movie (the least of which, Paranorman). And like I said...
While the Oscars just started, let's look at the other side of the aisle.
After Earth and Movie 43 swept the Razzies.
Which, I have to admit, I'm disappointed In APP Propriate Comedy seems to have been snubbed. It's Movie 43's nastier, worse cousin.
Oh, yeah. They got extremely experimental, then Schulz died and they became extremely safe. And focused on Rerun for some reason. I've never seen Pied Piper, but have heard bad things. I think that was intentionally supposed to be juvenile.
But the ones I really dislike (and someone's...
Unfortunately, that is a common preparation for a Shrimp dish, to leave that annoying last bit of shell on. I don't think I've ever had a shrimp dish (unless the shrimp were small) that didn't have a shell on it. Fried, scampi or otherwise. I don't know why they do it, but this isn't uncommon.
Which could all have been answered if 90% of the Muppets didn't leave and mysteriously vanish for the rest of the film. If there's one brilliant concept that MFS had, it's how crammed and cooped up the Muppets were in that boarding house. They could have done so much with that concept. It...
That, and the fact that everything is so streamlined that they pretty much manufacture the comics, rather than them being hand written. Which is a shame, since the strip really used to be pretty good. Especially when Jim worked off of sight gags.
You see Arlene every so often... not that much. Nermal and Arlene both were Pez in the 80's. There's an obscure 90's KFC kid's meal with those two and Jon.... this was the only picture I could find:
You know what they need to do? Disney Infinity 2. Have a Mabel and Dipper figure in there with Dr. Doof, some Muppets, Star Wars and Marvel characters... sounds great already.
I don't even have a video game system to play it on, and I'm eyeballing that Wreck it Ralph figure.
Eh, they did this with video games and stuff before.
I dunno... This idea is going to be epic as heck, though I can't help but think that Ben 10 is out of place here. I enjoy the series, it's a solid action cartoon with a great deal of appeal for kids and adults alike... but it really feels...
Get ready for this...
5 way Crossover series with Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Lab, Ben 10, Samurai Jack... and wait for it... Ed, Edd, N' Eddy!
Personally, I'd rather Billy and Mandy instead of Ben, but... whatever. Sounds like the Eds may get a comic series after wards.
EDIT: Hey...
You realize of course, I was talking about the musical performances of the Oscar Nominated songs. Remember, back in the 2012 telecast, even though we had 2 songs (and again, no Muppet bias here) they didn't have the time or effort to perform either of them. But they had enough time for that...
Say what you will about MacFarline hosting last year. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have live musical performances back. The one from 2 years ago was a dreadful embarrassment for not performing the skimpy 2 nominees. And that's not a Muppet bias. They put zero effort into the song...
I reiterate...
I'm glad they're actually giving some attention and effort into Adventure Time and Regular Show (annoyed we're not getting any Amazing World of Gumball and MAD DVD's with any care to them... or at all). They did such a shoddy job on Courage and Dexter (and ironically the best...
DUDE, what did I tell ya?
Number one on Cracked's weekly B.S. internet stories... there is no Space Jam 2 in production. And where did this rumor stem from?
a Photoshopped poster. This was never even a real story!
Fame does horrible stuff to some people... yadda yadda yadda...
Somehow, I'd expect the cover to really say "That Justin kid that was Famous like 3 years ago: Like, we still care?" :news:
Yeah. We're getting it too... as snow!
:ouch: :grr:
I wouldn't mind the snow if it was at least warm after it.
But, quite honestly, you can do so much more with the heat. Cooling down is always more fun than trying to keep warm. Hot Chocolate doesn't taste nearly as good, or is nearly...
We had rain, but it wasn't nearly enough. Heck, it was upper 40's for 2 days (it was supposed to be 3 day, but it only got to near 40 the first day, so our warm up streak wasn't even all that warm) and it didn't get rid of nearly enough of the snow banks. They're significantly smaller, and...
Yeah, but you're on the good side of the jet stream. We've been seeing extremely low temperatures and snow well over 2 feet above normal (which, frankly isn't bad considering it usually is much higher than that, but we've had 3 storms in a week last week). I'm not asking for it to be 90. I'm...
