Yeah, I also heard that Charles played Santa in another movie as well. I can't remember the name of it though.
I did like the reprise of "Keep Christmas With You" though. It was good to hear some Muppets sing it who hadn't sung it the first time around.
Actually, I wasn't aware the Newsman bits were added later in the Joel Grey episode. I know the one in the Connie Stevens ep must have been since the News Man had his glasses and later voice and they didn't edit out that one. That's strange that they would keep that bit and edit out the other one.
Well, my mom's favorite is MFC. As for me, I liked VMC but I have to agree with Pug that the plot is kind of depressing. It is a bit sad to see Kermit that upset, but it's understandable since I've felt that way at times too. Also, Pepe's really good in that one. But I like that in MFC, they...
Let's see, I remember hearing that Roscoe Orman was on "All My Children." I think a lot of SS actors made appearances on "Cosby." Of course Clarice Taylor (David's grandmother) was a semi-regular on "The Cosby Show" as Cliff's mother. I'll have to research this a bit more. I'm sure there...
There's an LP version of "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" where Santa narrates? Could you tell me more about that? I never knew there was another version besides the regular one.
I've thought about that too. One of my theories is that since Timelife didn't release all the shows, they picked certian episodes where they didn't have to cut anything out. They do tend to own the rights to a lot of songs that are performed on TMS. Heck, when I was getting the TimeLife set...
Of course, CESS was a definite classic! That's the best in my book. "Elmo Saves Christmas" was fairly pretty good too. "Elmo's World: Happy Holidays" was pretty weak compared to the other two. Of course I haven't seen "A Special Sesame Street Christmas" so I can't comment there. Though I...
Strangely, I remember seeing it years ago. I remember it making sort of a rumbling sound or something. I can't recall any other shows beginning with that though.
The ones with Grover are the best, specifically "Sound of Music," "39 Stairs," "Chariots of Fur." I also liked "Gone With the Wind" and "Ali Baba and the 40 Theives," even though they never actually showed the film there.
I think I remember seeing Gordon in the classroom early on. Mainly when Gina first came on the show. I guess that was when he was first called 'Mr. Robinson.'
I'm referring to the 20th Anniversary special. Sorry about the confusion.
I was even trying to edit my message to clarify that, but my computer isn't cooperating. Lol.
My uncle made a tape of that one for our family. I still have the tape, but I don't know how to make copies or anything. The best I could probably do is write a transcript.
Thanks, Minor. That's a much better list than mine. A few things I'd like to add to the list though
Muppet Show
Carol Burnett: The robots that won the dance contest
Muppet Babies
That doohickey that protects you from bad dreams (for example a parachute for when you dream about falling...
Thanks for that information, Boober. I was wondering about that myself. I'm assuming that was Roscoe Orman's first appearance on the show. I remember the one you were talking about with Forgetful. I don't think anybody sang it there. They just played it on the piano and Forgetful kept...
