I don't really mind. There are some issues I have with some of their puppets (Gonzo. God, he looks terrible), but they're good for the most part. The new Scooter is fantastic looking.
Anyone have any scratch-free versions of these songs from the Sesame Disco album:
"Me Lost Me Cookie"
"Happiest Street in the World"
"What Makes Music"
Many thanks!
I've only seen three episodes of the newest series, but from what's on their website, the only fully dubbed anything from the original show is the remake of "Rubber Duckie"; where the dialogue is English, but the lyrics are Hebrew.
According to the Wiki (which got the info from someone who works with the show), the rights to the character expire in 2014 (which is something I don't quite understand), so he's being used as a sort-of "retro" hook for the promotions of the birthday. Plus, I'm sure that episodes featuring him...
They're goin' all out for it. There's apparently going to be a special, then a special episode of the regular show about the birthday, a "Mahna Mahna" music video, an exhibit, screenings, a classic DVD, "Super Grover 2.0" being added to the show...
Plaza Sesamo's 40th birthday is coming too...
I don't understand what "Do de Rubber Duck" is even doing in a Chanukah episode.
I also think subtitles were avoided because if this was for the same age group as the regular show, they wouldn't really be able to read them.
Like the Pixar Shorts Collection. I'd enjoy a Bud Lucky one, and especially a Sally Cruikshank one; her cartoons look great and the songs are some of the best animated ones they've had.
