I wonder how often they shelve things like that; like your quote, it's a lot of money wasted. I mean, things like that "Super Grover 2.0" song seem pretty costly to make; I personally don't think it could've tested well at all, the message is completely lost because the lyrics are too rapidly...
I swear, if I ever work for SW, I'm sneaking into their archives and watching the Snuffy episode. I'd love to see what it's like, especially the use of segments; if it was a story that took up the full hour (unlike Hooper's death, which was at the tail end of the episode), it'd seem very hard to...
The "episode" was actually the orignal version of "Imagination", which they scrapped because they had real monsters at the begging frightening Ernie. I'm pretty sure that it was the monsters on this:

"RAISE YOUR HAND IF THAT SURPRISES YOU!"
Honestly, they were talking about the sequel before the movie even came out and Disney being the money-whores they are would no doubt jump at the chance to profit of their successes again. I wouldn't mind a sequel, mind you.
Miles was never established as leaving for college; Gabi was around after she graduated and mentioned school a few times, so she probably commutes or something (I mean, it's NYC, so getting around is easy as pie).
I mean, Chris is only here to fill the void Miles left and has made his own...
That's too bad if they don't make any more segments. The fact that the segment would make their kids funny is such a slap in the face. They have enough segments for there to be no repeats for a season, but if there's no more, would they replace it with a new segment? And if so, with what?
Didn't see it (yet), but I don't know how much Kermit you were expecting. It's 30 Rock, they're very rapid comedy. If Kermit were going to appear, it would be for no reason and very quick.
Someone posted a review on Amazon, giving it one star. One of their reasons was that there was too much repeating of material and wanted seasons sets instead. They fail to realize how that problem would increase twenty-fold.
